The sports bread bake off date is quickly approaching, and Team Japan is hard at work preparing for their upcoming match-up against France. Unfortunately, Kazuma has trouble drawing inspiration to improve upon Japan #51 since he feels that it’s almost perfect. Kawachi tells Kazuma not to sweat it too much since he has seen enough Japan’s in a lifetime to know how good they are :P But Suwabara jumps in and tells Kazuma to imagine himself in the customer’s shoes to try and improve upon Japan #51. The next morning, Kazuma gets some inspiration and runs off to the Monoco Castle to get some ingredients. However, this leaves Kawachi and Suwabara in a bind since the competition also starts that same day, and the two (along with Kuro-yan and Sophie) get a dose of intimidation from the Kayser brothers when they see Gran’s 2 meter and 72 cm baking arms, which are armed with uber solar gauntlets and flexi-fingers! :P
Despite the intimidation, Kawachi and Suwabara realize they have a competition to win (or at least try to win), so they make their way to the baking arena and get to work. Pierrot provides some entertaining commentary in describing all the contestant’s ingredients and how the ingredients make for a good sports bread.
Corn Barnacles from Kawachi
Turtle’s blood and Red Wine from Suwabara
Pearl Powder and Blueberries from Gran
However, Pierrot’s commentary seems to put some additional pressure on team Japan since it seems that Gran will have the edge at the end in terms of the “right” ingredients, and Gran makes a comment saying that Suwabara’s Lupan #6 has a fatal flaw. Guess we’ll see next episode who comes out on top!
Although Pierrot gets annoying at times, I just had to laugh when he kept interrupting Kuro-yan in the middle of explaining what ingredients each baker was using
