Dear Gundam Seed Destiny,
I’m sorry to say that you severely disappointed me. It’s as if your writers forgot where they were going with the plot and decided to cop out with a predictable ending. So Gilbert just turned out to be a maniacal zealot with not one but two superweapons, and the good guys have to once again lay the smack down. Can’t you do better than that? To add insult to injury, it was Rey that finally saw the light at the end, while Shinn remained faithfully idiotic. Whoopee. The only saving grace was that Luna didn’t get killed, but at this point her character was fairly inconsequential anyways.
Your beginnings were quite promising and you really hit your stride in the middle, providing so much wonderful fodder for fanart and blogging ridicule. It’s a shame that you went out with a whimper, not to mention the incredible amount of stock footage used in the last episode. I almost thought I was watching the mid-series recap episode.
Alas, I must give you an overall rating of 3.5/5. Not horrible, but falling short of greatness.

i am very very dissapointed to it`s ending npk wlang kuwenta i know that it`s very hard making those scenes but it don`t satisfy my taste of watching sana g wings nlang ang ipinalit sa gs para d nlang kami umasa ng magandang ending ng kwento
i wish there was a 3rd gundam seed but it was more action n stuff lyk that n i hoped if they did make 1 that kira, athrun cagalli and lacus wouldn’t die n there was more time 4 them but o well
new gun seris is Gundam OO 300 yrs from the yr 2000 there is no coordinators or any thing its just plain humans boring…

dude u guys are retarded….At The end… of PLUS. It shows Lacus being the chairwoman of ZAFT. SO kira goes to ZAFT jus to be with lacus. Since Cagalli is ORB(With Earth Alliance) & Lacus is now in ZAFT. There’s not going to be any more gay ass war.
Shin & Lunamaria/Meyrin stays in ZAFT. Athrun stays in ORB with Cagalli. There you go.
holy crap ive been reading this and damn theres alot of shinn haters, like i can understand why u would hate him but holy crap “all he lost was his familly and stella” so in otherwords most of the people he held close in life. As far as who’s had more BS happen to them kira//shinn it all depends on what you consider worse. Kira may have all that pressure but at least he has lacus and alot of people that are like familly to him, but shin? He has his familly (dead) stella//stellar (dead)hes got lunamaria and someone at some point should give kira a ass-whoopin for killing stella and fucking up shinn’s life…besides that’d be a interesting twist lol

It was the worst Anime iv ever seen. I was expecting something spectacular but instead they give me THIS and switch main characters to some Naive Puss who in the end saved the day. What a waste as for people saying ”Shinn sucked, he was emo. Shinn was a waste of char. Shinn could never beat Kira”
You saw it yourself, quit acting like your blind he RAPED Kira with an Inferior Mobile Suit. As for his Emoness if your parents died too dont tell me you wouldnt go Emo hes more of a character than Kira you can say what you want but thats the T-r-u-t-h and in Seed Kira was a hell of a bigger emo than Shinn. I mean, im suprised i watched Seed with all the Emoness it had and his parents didnt die. Im done proving my point.
But seriously though this almost made me give up Gundam, they were on the right track till they switched what were they thinking?

I totally agree with many of you. the story just fell starting at ep 30 or so. dudinal or watever forgot how to spell, his “great conspiracy” was presented in a very sloppy way, i strongly think it can be reinforced. last but not least its the ending, its just very unorganized and the story totally fell. unlike in gundam seed, throughout the series were suprises.
i’ve just finished watching this series and i agree that the ending is disappointing, but i do hope that Cagali and Athrun would end up together please…. I’m begging the writers please.. Meyrin seems to be a Descent girl but Cagali and Athrum have been through a lot of things and i hate to see them not ending in each others arms… plsssss…….

One thing I don’t get in GSD is that the main character is so unlikable. Watching the whole thing, you don’t even know wich one is the main character. So I just decided to go with Kira because he is after all the original character. Shinn is so annoying, definitely the most annoying character I know and I would’ve love to see him die..hehe.. The ending is so bad that it’s like most of the Japanese porn I’ve seen that when the guy is about to cum, he just do it fast and only says 3 words…oh,oh,oh….. I mean come on!! no real emotions it’s simply not a climax and that’s how I see in this ending…well, all the Gundam series ending. I hope they would come up with a better ending because I’m a huge fan..
was there a movie made as an OVA for Destiny? is it out yet? what’s the deal with the Gundam Eternalty? is with the same characters of the SEED series?

i’ve just realized that there’s two versions of episode 50. one is really really short and abrupt, without the whole thing at the end about how kira+shin+athrun+lacus+luna+merlyn visits the graves. and the other version has that….>.< which version is the real one? so messed up….i can’t believe the shorter version just decided to CUT OUT the actual ending! like wtf?
I’m So mad Cause i so badly wannted Athrun and Cagalli to get togeather all they got were trubles and misunderstandings, but Lacus and kira need a wedding just like Athrun and Cagalli i was hoping for some conclusion to the romance and add that they got married or somthing after all They deserve it…oh well thats my opinoin but i hate how it ended errr but from what ive heard the movie (if there is one) will have Athrun as the main character but He’ll FALL FOR Miyr errr i only wannted to see him with Cagalli after all shes not really married but shes so faithful to Athrun …but Shinn is cool just a little bit of a child that has had problems Kira is still that awsome char from SEED. <3 still bad ending…

seems like they will be a movie about seed destiny…and apparently stella will be in it…but unfortunately its put on hold because one of the producers got sick…sucks!!!
