Sousei no Aquarion 13

Toma tries to show Apollo all the swank places they used to hang, but Apollo is unswayed by the soothing whale songs. Apollo can only think of Baron, and when Toma reveals a cage with Baron within, a seductive but obvious trap is revealed. Needless to say, Apollo falls for it, reaching through the barrier to grab the cage and free Baron. Unfortunately, the cage then explodes, incinerating Baron and destroying Deava’s protection against the Shadow Angels.

Leaving Otoha to continue the fight, Toma races to where the feather is stored. Apollo, Silvia, and Sirius intercept him, but Toma binds them with vines, and reveals that Silvia and Sirius are actually distant descendants of Apollonius and Serian. Sirius is clearly ashamed of the red feathers spilling from his bracer, but Apollo sticks by his friends. Meanwhile, Reika and Tsugumi back up Pierre, and are able to defeat Otoha in their boroboro “Aquarion Soluna”. Otoha escapes at the last second, but the “Three as One: Fire Exploding Blast” rips through and destroys the feather. I guess that’s one memory that Sakura won’t be getting back…

As we wrap up the episode, Toma has some mysterious words about how the feather could have prevented the destruction of Atlandia. Otoha had correctly guessed that the feather was filled to capacity with Toma’s yaoi love for Apollonius, and so purposely let the feather be destroyed. However, it seems that Toma has love to spare, and so he gives Otoha a tender kiss as they escape the battlefield. Meanwhile, Apollo returns that statue to Silvia and says he doesn’t care that the siblings are half-Shadow Angel. Silvia is pleased, and so punches Apollo hard in the gut, causing him to remember Baron and run off screaming.

Great episode, as Reika reminds us that she is the naming master. There was a good amount of plot movement and action, and very little Fudo; this obviously makes for a winning combination. The closeup of Toma’s lips was also very amusing.

You make it sound so gay. Too bad Baron has to die. Apollo is screaming like a pansy.

    Ummmmm maybe because it is?:P

Watching the flames of the sun? Listening to whale song? Not exactly my idea of a hot date. No wonder Apollo dropped his platinum blonde ass for the first piece of female tail that happened along, Toma’s boring as hell!

As for Sirius what an ass. “Thanks for not sacrificing our incestuous butts to Toma to bring back someone who actually likes you, Apollo, but I’ll kill you if you tell on us.”

BTW I’m getting reeeeeeeeeeal tired of these silver haired evil guys. Stupid FF7, and now Advent Children gives you 3 more. Make it stop >.

Aw, I do love it in all its…err…interesting turns. I like Sirius, because he is…well…interesting. Of course, let’s not even start with the whole brother/sister relationship…

I’m a bit unclear on who Sirius actually is. I mean…who is he? Really? *sigh* Confused…He’s not the Wing of the Sun, but he’s something…
