Bleach 43

The focus shifts back to the duo of Ishida and Orihime in their adventures to avoid trouble. After Orihime spent some time healing a member of her Hibucus Shield, the two set off once again to rescue Rukia. Unfortunately, they run into a member of the 11th squad, who although drunk seemed very suspicious of the two once he found they were wearing clothes belonging to the 12th squad, and Orihime and Ishida had proclaimed they were from the 11th squad. Out of the blue, they were “rescued” by some members of the 11th squad, but it turned out to be a trap as Ishida suspected that the members of the 12th squad were acting too nice. BOOM…some of the members blow up as Kurotsuchi Mayrui, the captain of the 11th squad, set off a trigger to try and eliminate Orihime and Ishida. Fortunately, Orihime put up her defensive shield, which protected her, Ishida, and the drunken 12th squad member.

Intrigued by her powers, Mayuri offers to take Orihime in as a test subject so he could study her powers, but Ishida would have none of that as he draws his bow and arrows. Telling the 12th squad member to take Orihime to safety, Ishida leaves himself behind to battle Mayuri, but Mayuri easily lands a blow on Ishida to disable the use of his left arm. With Ishida critically injured, Mayuri reveals that he had studied the Quincy’s before, Ishida finds out that Mayuri was the one responsible for his grandfather’s death. Upon hearing this, Ishida begins to power up and declares that he would kill Mayuri.

Mayuri can be best summarized as the Orochimaru of the Bleach world. He has essentially the same eerie voice and wants to learn all the powers of the world.

You have those squad numbers reversed. Mayuri is the captain of the 12th squad while the drunk Shinigami belongs to the 11th Squad and the members that “rescued” Ishida and Orihime are part of the 12th squad.

“Mayuri can be best summarized as the Orochimaru of the Bleach world.”

Please don’t compare Bleach to Naruto… I haven’t read the manga and I’m afraid it’ll turn into another DBZ clone, just like Naruto. :(

Hmm, I actually thought it was a reasonable comparison, and if anything Bleach is more DBZ-ish than Naruto. Naruto battles (well non-filler battles, anyway) usually involve a great deal more tactics, and the characters only have a limited number of skills. In Bleach, Ichigo always has an extra power up level or two when the need is great.

No Spoilers!! grrrrr! I dont think Bleach is anything like DBZ..Dbz is like pure shooting fireballs and rerun battles…while Bleach is like ghost and hollows with sword battles, and bows!

Yeah! Don’t compare BLEACH to DBZ!! Bleach is like way more cooler than DBZ (no offense to anyone)! In the manga, epi. 198 is up! Was Bleach Episode 44 where Ishida almost killed…?
