In spite of her violent tendencies, Asuna’s early morning part-time job renders her a rather boring roommate. Konoka, however, knows how to party, and she comes home from some sort of “arranged meeting” drunk and in a kimono. In her drunken frenzy, she practically forces herself on Negi and even busts up Asuna’s alarm clock. Obviously, this has dire consequences.
The next day, Konoka and Negi spend a day out on the town. Summer break’s started, and the three cheerleaders of the class (Kugimiya Madoka, Misa Kakizake, and Sakurado Shiina) spot Konoka and Negi together. Frantic that it might be a date, the three cheerleaders report the situation to Ayaka and don some ridiculous disguises to spy on Konoka and Negi. Not much ends up happening, however, besides Konoka telling about how she had to be home-schooled as a child because it was too dangerous for her to be unprotected. We also learn that Asuna was Konoka’s first roomie, and the two were together a lot. In the end, the whole “date” turns out to just be a shopping trip that Konoka planned; she was simply getting a replacement alarm clock for Asuna. Asuna is touched, but Ayaka isn’t too happy about the false… alarm.
Not a bad episode, and the animation was pretty good this time. Anyone who loves hearing Konoka’s great voice as much as I do will probably like this episode, although we did get to see a little of the hidden sadness in her life. The cheerleaders finally got a bit of screentime, and they made the most of it, donning many some truly inspired disguises (such as the amazing Gankutsuou meets Las Vegas outfits).

One of my favourite episodes… However, the names are spelt Misa Kakizaki and Sakurako Shiina (Not Kakizake and Sakurado) XD
Also, Konoka doesn’t come home drunk, she drinks Negi’s unfinished potion and gets drunk.
