Naruto 132

The battle between Sasuke and Naruto heats up as it turns out to be more of a physical battle for Sasuke and a mental battle for Naruto. Sasuke attempts to end the battle by going after Naruto with a full powered Chidori, but he in for a surprise as Naruto’s rasengan is able to equally match Sasuke’s effort, and like two equally charged particles, the two basically knock each other backwards after colliding with their respective techniques. Ticked off that he wasn’t able to finish the job, Sasuke begins planning another approach to take down Naruto once and for all. Meanwhile, Naruto’s mind isn’t in the battle, but he’s thinking back more over of how he and Sasuke were the same, lonely and without any parents, and how he had looked up to Sasuke because of his superior ninja skills. And despite their egos, Naruto knew two had come to acknowledge each other as time went on and formed a friendship.

Naruto’s lack of focus in the battle gets him in trouble as Sasuke has him clutched in one hand ready to end his life with one last chidori blow. But Naruto manages to gather up some 9-tails chakra and deflect the fatal blow away from his heart, but he ends up with a hole through his right shoulder. Sasuke then goes to try and choke Naruto, but the 9-tails chakra is now in full force, and Naruto knocks Sasuke back like a rag doll. Amazed and stunned, Sasuke is frozen in his tracks as he watches Naruto’s fatal wound heal before his eyes and the red chakra tower over him. Naruto declares that if he had to mortally would Sasuke, he would bring him back to the village.

Meanwhile, Kakashi gets the news that only genins were sent to hunt down Sasuke, so he takes measures into his own hands and calls out Pakkun and his troops to track down Sasuke and the gang.

For some reason, I just found it funny watching Sasuke and Naruto use the water to get out of the water during their battle :P Looks like Sasuke’s in for the beating of his life next episode!

If I remember from last week, this episode couldn’t go three minutes without some sort of flashback and it bugged the hell out of me. But you’re right, ep. 133 is sweet!

I’ve really enjoyed all these episodes focusing on Naruto and Sasuke. Especially after all those boring and drawn out pre-fights for this story arc. Not that Naruto and Sasuke’s fight isn’t drawn out, but I’m enjoying it still. With all those other fights you always knew how it would end after all, but with two main characters fighting it’s not as easy to tell.

Haha, ditto what Mattias said — despite the fact that the rampant power-ups in this episode and the next evoke shades of the title-that-shalt-not-be named, I’m enjoying it thoroughly.

On a side note, it seems that Sasuke’s fireball jutsus are at the level of the Third Hokage in his battle with Orochimaru O_o

These guys must be made of rubber or something. But given that it took a million episodes just for the Third Hokage to die, I’m not surprised it takes a few episodes to knock someone unconscious.
