Negi gets a laptop and turns out to be an uber-noob. Unfortunately, most of the class is clueless about computers, and their suggestions about adding microwaves and drills to the laptop infuriate Chisame Hasegawa. Turns out she’s the only one who thinks it’s strange that their class is populated by little kids, tons of foreign students, a robot, and a 10 year old teacher. Chisame, however, is not without her own oddities, as she commonly pretends to have a stomach illness so she can go home to work on her webpage. A normal student out in public, Chisame is also super-hacker and top net idol Chiu. With the powers of cosplay and “Photoshock” digital touchups, Chiu’s page is actually one of the top pages around. So when Negi decides to start a class 2-A webpage to learn about computers, it’s a direct challenge to Chisame’s authority!

Before long, Chiu’s page and the 2-A webpage are 1 and 2 respectively, and the cosplay gets bolder and bolder as each side steps up their game. 2-A busts out the nurses, brides, schoolgirls in swimsuits, and lolicon kindergarteners, while Chisame counters with her stewardess, bunny-girl, and widow in need of comfort themes. In spite of Chisame’s efforts, she’s no match for the combined might of 2-A and before long she’s run down and desparate to the point that she wants to launch a virus-based attack on the 2-A webpage. Fortunately, before Chisame can send it, Negi bursts into Chisame’s room (she left it open) and drags her out in her costume to the 2-A webpage farewell party. Negi explains that Shizuna-sensei felt the page was a bit too mature, and Chisame can’t believe it. Suddenly Fuuka (the older twin) notices that Chisame looks an awful lot like Chiu, but Yue saves the day when she points out that Chisame has more acne, less bust, and lower nose-ishness than Chiu. With that, the 2-A page closes down, and fanboi’s everyone lament.

This was actually a pretty entertaining episode, although hit looks like the Fafner crew will need a few more episodes to get into the swing of things. Did anyone else think it strange that Kamo has a lime green ermine laptop that he uses to buy “misril pantsu” that are 50% off… and that the sign for ermine dollars looks an awful lot like the pound sign (£)? Or was it just a general English site and not an ermine site? It was also funny that Ayaka was so eager to get undressed to help Negi make some sort of pr0n page. I’m putting some thought into Photoshocking a few Negima cosplay servisu pictures onto Sea Slugs! just to see if that will increase the number of hits the page gets.
