I’ve been extra lazy this month, but thankfully Kungfucius has been holding down the fort! Meanwhile, Ender has been fighting the good fight against absurd amounts of school work; don’t worry, like Slayers/Gundam, he’ll be back before you know it. I’m going to do my best over the next few days to get somewhat caught up so that I can blog on some of the new series coming out next month. I’m officially dropping Dogtato, too. It was fun and bite-sized, but really too kiddy for me, and after a while it ceased to be entertaining. I am not, however, dropping Madlax; it has just taken me a while to get back into the whole Elda-Taluta, Sarkus-Sark, Arkus-Ark, Random-Seal-Noise flow of things. Also, Kaleido Star and Bakuretsu Tenshi are unranked this week because there were not enough released fansubs to qualify for my monthly list. Too bad, because I really wanted to see some angelic moves and some mutant brains. Without further ado, here’s my list for September!
1) Full Metal Alchemist: Just because I’m petty, does anyone remember how everyone said this series sucked during the first few episodes because Ed wearing a red coat meant that this show was a total Trigun ripoff? Ah, good times.
2) Otogizoushi: OMGWTFBBQ, a historic series that doesn’t involve Shinsengumi?! I agree with Ender that Otogizoushi does have a sorta Korean flavor, but Seimei was actually a famous Japanese astrologist in history.
3) Samurai Champloo: Emerging from the wreckage with 5 very strong episodes and a clever recap episode, Champloo is really starting to hit its stride.
4) Girls Bravo: Light, but satisfying. I don’t know if it’s just because I am in shounen overload, but I like how this series is playing out so far. Tomoka kinda annoys me though, as there is only so much ‘na no da’ that a sane person can take.
5) Samurai 7: Last few episodes were good, but the first episodes set the bar really high.
Rising - 2×2=Shinobuden: More light fun. I really like the mob of nameless ninjas.
Falling - Dogtato: Dropped. Sweet Valerian would be considered “dropped” too, except that it never really made the “watched” list.

Whoa, my top five list is *exactly* the same, with the possible swap of Naruto with Girls Bravo. Most of these excellent titles are slated to finish soon, and, by George, I don’t think I can stand the wait (^_^)
PS: This just came out today, but according to AnimeSuki, Samurai 7 was licensed by Funimation
Kaleido Star 39 just came out! Must getto!
