The group decides to split up into 3 teams on the way to Kanna village. Kanbei takes the safe road, and the only danger is the sickly sweet discussions about love between Katsushiro and the tag team of Komachi and Kikuchiyo. “Team K” meets zero resistance, although Kanbei is forced to listen to Katsushiro deny his interest in Kirara. Shichiroji and Kyuuzou, however, are ambushed by some hot pink robots, and Kyuuzou is wounded protecting Kirara. Maybe now she can stop hatin’ on him. “Team Kick Ass Now, Ask Questions Later” gets to the Wing Rock first, and Kirara shows off her sewing skillz. The third team faces the most danger, as Rikichi, Gorobei, and Heihachi are forced to shave their legs and crossdress to make it past all the FF units. “Team Cospray” is the last to make it to the rendezvous point, as numerous Otaku Con attendees stop them for pictures after mistaking the trio for cosplayers.

As David also noticed, the first thing that stands out in this episode is how much Kyuuzou looks like Kakashi-sensei (from Naruto). It’s the whole one sleepy eye + face mask thing I guess. Maybe Kirara should buy Kyuuzou a copy of Ichii Ichii Paradisu to get him to show a little more life. I enjoyed seeing everyone in slightly different outfits, with the exception of “Team Cospray”.
