After the one hour episodes, I guess the Naruto writers and drawers are obligated for a break, so we’re presented with a semi-humorous filler episode. Tsunade suggested that they stop and rest for the day at the hot springs. Naruto and Jiraiya are hesitant at first, but after Tsunade said that this was a co-ed hot spring, well, Jiraiya acted just as our favorite Ero Sennin would and headed towards the springs :P
Meanwhile, Senta and Bunzou are two ninjas pitted with the task of collected the IOU that Tsunade owes the Akagi Clan, and as Naruto and Jiraiya were soaking in the springs, they go in and steal Tsuande’s necklace. Naruto finds the ransom letter that Senta and Bunzou leaves behind, and he goes to take back the necklace rather easily in numbers. However, after hearing Senta’s and Bunzou’s story about how they cannot return back to their homes unless they return with the IOU, Naruto offers to help them out with the IOU. From there, it’s a semi-humorous episode of Shizune trying to hide Tsunade’s debt problems while Naruto and the 2 stooges try to get the money back :P Just don’t take this episode too seriously and you just may enjoy it!

This filler didn’t turn out to be as bad as I thought it’ll be. In fact, it was quite funny. I am just hoping they can do something equally good if there is another need for a filler next time.
Yeah, I thought this episode wasn’t too bad either, but I think it’s one of those episodes where it is hit or miss on whether you like it or not. I’m glad to hear that others are enjoying it at least as much as I did ^_^
I originally thought that Tonton was kept around to track down Tsunade, but now I realize that they have probably enslaved Tonton and forced him/her to find truffles in order to fund Tsunade’s gambling addiction. Next Tsunade is going to turn Konoha into one big sweatshop.
