Maria-sama ga Miteru 6

Elections for the council positions are coming up, and even though the en boutons pretty much win by default (being the hand-chosen successors to the Rose council members), they still have to go through the motions of running in the election. However, this time A New Challenger has Arrived! The popular school Diva, dubbing herself Rosa Canina, has challenged Shimako’s position, and even worse, Shimako doesn’t really care! Apparently, the only reason she accepted the position was because she wanted to help out Sei, not out of any particular loyalty to the Rose Council or political ambitions. Yumi can’t just stand by and watch her friend get bumped out of the council, and she tries to encourage Shimako to run for election. Meanwhile, however, she has some personal problems with Sachiko, who is somewhat irritable due to her own election activities. Some veteran advice from Rosa Chinesis helps fix everything, of course. And in the end…well, stuff happens.

Kind of an interesting episode, dealing with school elections of all things. As usual, the ultra sappy feel of the show plays up the melodrama to new heights.
