Wow, talk about ask and you shall receive. Last time I had been hoping for more story and less bathing, and episode 6 came through in a big way. Only one short bathing scene and tons of plot advancement. This time, instead of warping to a different location, it seems that the mansion has moved 5 years forward to the same place. After searching far and wide, Ai and Mii finally find Mai and Mare. Mai has been happily living in the same place all this time, however, and she is not looking forward to rejoining the sisters. How have these 5 years affected everyone? Will one of the secrets of the mansion be enough to convince Mai to return?
This series keeps getting better and better, as it is very well suited to a short 12 episode format. There was plenty of comedy (as Mii bites the rump of Mai’s new friend and Unagi stomps the chest of Mai’s other friend), but the tough choices that Mai is faced with really make this episode one of the best so far. Not surprisingly, we find out that Mare thinks very highly of herself as a maid. Also, the OP is slightly different (everyone else joins in on the dancing), and Unagi worries about keeping her job as preview narrator!
