Although aged and probably not as powerful as he once was, the 3rd Hokage pulls one more trick out of his bag and takes down the 1st and 2nd Hokage and has Orochimaru in a compromising position using Shiki Fuujin. Although the 3rd Hokage’s life has essentially been sealed, he has shown the true heart of a hero, putting the life and well-being of Konoha ahead of his own.
Meanwhile, whatever happened to those pesky snakes that crashed down the walls of Konoha, and who can stop them? No worry, because Jiraiya comes to save the day with an uber frog! However, I could probably do without Jiraiya’s “wild dance” that he was doing on top of that frog. Hell, I think the frog probably was pissed off thinking why the hell do I have to serve this retarded dancing guy?
And now, the focus looks like it’ll shift now to the battle in the forest since there are so many more knots left to be tied. Shino vs KanKurou looks like an interesting fight since we’ve hadn’t seen much of their true abilities much throughout the series. Although Gaara looks like he’s been sleeping forever in the past few episodes, it looks from the previews that he finally “wakes up” and shows off the tremendous powers that he truly possesses. So next episode should contain some raucous battles!!!
One more note: Enma is NOT stabbing the 3rd Hokage in the first picture; he’s actually trying to impede the sword’s progress.
