Taira Yuuichi was just a perfect boy in a perfect life (well, at least according to him ). He’s popular with his peers, he gets the best grades, and he’s good at sports. But all of that falls apart as he becomes suspected of being the terrorizing bat boy. The similarities are striking; both love to rollerblade and both are good at baseball. However, Ichi (his nickname, translated as “number one,” or “numbah wan” as my friends and I like to say it ) believes that he’s in a conspiracy masterminded by his fat archrival Ushiyama Shougo, a transfer student who in Ichi’s eyes just tries to upstage him whenever Shougo has the change. As a coincidence, both of them are running in the student election, fueling more belief in Ichi’s mind that Shougo is out to ruin his image. Well, as you can see, Ichi slowly falls into the pressures and slowly goes mad. Was Shougo the instigator?!?!
