• Appetite: Maya was good at wrangling amazake from weak link Rihoko despite the Tea Club’s best efforts to prevent her from getting her Founder’s Day fix; also LOLOL at her crying out for shochu while being dragged away by Tsukasa’s goons. Sawa-chan was easily bribed with cake and quickly incorporated it in her afterschool tea time R&R routine. Much prefer my company at the izakaya bar rather than over dainty porcelain though.
• Attire: Maya’s uniform is a formal classic black and white with pantyhose and heels, no signs of accessories or her civvy wear. Sawako sports Full Spectrum Dominance from festival chic to death metal, from smart workday to smart casual weekends; bonus points also for doing meganekko *right* – I really hate huge round lenses, viva la oval/oblongs! Despite Sawako’s style, I’m a sucker for Maya’s staidness which also shades into OL goodness.
• Affinity: Maya’s interactions with her students are more limited though I loved how she got pwned by Tsukasa and told off by Manaka; I also heartily approve of her use of spanking to motivate Junichi. Sawako is much closer to her K-ON! girls and is absolutely awesome as their advisor – not only does she have the mad guitar skillz, she also provides important logistical support such as transport, tickets and, of course, immaculately handmade and utterly beautiful/entertaining costumes. No contest – this round goes to Sawako.
• Annus Horribilus: When Maya goes on the rampage, the reason is alcohol and the objective is getting more alcohol – not a whimper out of her about being single or the evils of men. When Sawako goes on the rampage, it’s over crappy music, trying to hide her past (which conflicts with the first) and Christmas cake complaints.  Sorry Sawa-chan but I prefer someone more easygoing!
• Assessment: It’s Takahashi Maya-chan desuuuu~~~

Kabitzin

• I’d rather have my cake and eat it too, if you know what I mean.  Plus, I get the feeling like Maya would get real sloppy while out and that is never as much fun as it sounds on paper.  More twinkle-inducing cay-key please!
• I like Maya’s outfit (and haircut) more, but it doesn’t seem like it would be that hard to get Sawako to dress more business professional once in a while.  So this is a rather temporary advantage for Maya.
• Sawako is easier to blackmail and also apparently quite trainable.
• In terms of secret laziness, I get the feeling this one is a push.
• I think Maya is a little more self-motivated, and it was cute how excited she was to get Junichi to listen to her (although he was really just ogling her goods).
• Both make a case for being hot for teacher, but in the end I think Sawako offers more versatility.  Sawako, I choose you!

• Who’d I rather? NEITHER; THEY’RE BOTH OLD HAGS!! But that’s not to say none have their charms.
• Maya is pretty strict while Sawako is more of a push-over. Eat cake during practice? Let me rephrase that: NO practice AT ALL?!?! Wish Kabitzin were more lenient!
• I hear Sawako offers AP credits. Just kidding, who cares about college anyway? Though if you’re into good grades and being a virgin for the first 30 years of your life, I guess Maya would be a good pick (not a Guitar Pick, though…)
• Sawako has horrible taste in music. (-159 points)
• MAYA READS BEAVER KINGDOM!! (+159 points)
• In the words of Justin Beaver Bieber: “I make good grilled cheese, AND I LIKE GIRLS!!” The older the cheese, the better, and let’s not forgot the abundance of high school girls you can K-ON… I mean, hit-on (all girls school, btw).
• Holy crap Sawako’s dental bill must be enormous!! (x159 points)
• I may have taken remedial math*, but I think we have a clear winner here: Sawako

*JAY-KAY I’ve never taken remedial math! It’s ’cause I’m so smart dah-zaAaAaAAaAAy~

• Maya is awesome, tempting and oh so lonely. Let Epi make you unlonely my dear Maya-chan!
• Sawako is crazy, especially in her crazy death metal mode. I’m scared of her.
• Maya drunk is all sorts of fun. Nothing like a girl who knows how to have a good time!
• Unlike J159, I think both of these girls are younger than me, but I digress…
• I only watched until episode 6 of K-On! and I barely remember it… but uh I’ve seen lots of Amagami lately.
