Nooooo, right in the fish balls!

Summary:

I don't want to eat lunch with you nerds

Kisame’s sneaky blast is designed to hijack all energy blasts in the way making it an excellent counter, but unfortunately Afternoon Tiger is simply an adorned blast of air formed by a super speedy punch.  Guy’s blast goes right through and detonates on Kisame, and then Guy knocks Kisame unconscious.  With that it’s interrogation time, and we see how Kisame was assigned to watch over his teammates and kill them to prevent Mist codes from falling into the wrong hands.

Crappy Ikea furniture!!!!

After killing his whole team to avoid Leaf capture, Kisame also kills his tiger-mouse boss to gain Samehada.  From there we find that he was following the fourth Mizukage’s orders, except that the Mizukage (the three-tails jinchuuriki) was under Madara’s mind control.  As Kisame remembers how he wanted to live in a world of truth instead of a world of lies, he bites his tongue to escape Yamashiro Aoba’s interrogation and flexes his way out of Yamato’s crappy particle board stocks.

Reaction:

Wait, I’m confused.  So all the seals for Afternoon Tiger were for… appearances?  I suppose that would make sense, to satisfy Guy’s ego and to trick opponents.  And all the time we thought he was powering up he was just sweating a lot?  Weird…  This chapter was kinda anti-climactic as even the flashback gave very little new information.  Kisame always seemed like a loyal guy, which just makes his defection that much more ironic.  They keep hiding Madara’s face even though we saw it when Madara was tending Sasuke, so perhaps his face looked different back then.  You know, before the nose job.

I take back all my negative thoughts about Gai….he can be damn awesome if he gets serious!
I’m amazed my the cool names he gives to his moves..Morning Peacock..Afternoon Tiger…I wonder why Naruto thinks they are weak names ~__~

We get to know about Kisame’s past!
Almost all in this series have a tragic past…
If Kisame dies now..the only Akatsuki members left would be Zetsu and Madara…(speaking of Zetsu…the 4th Mizukage looks somewhat like Zetsu ~__~)

Naruto is the best shonen manga/anime according to me!
I havent seen One Piece and others (only Bleach,Meitantei Conan..and few others)
Naruto teaches us a lot in life!
If anyone hasnt seen episode 175 of Naruto Shippuden anime (released yesterday) I strongly recommend all see it!Even those who havent been following Naruto..its the best ever!
I love Naruto!!

I said it last week, and I’ll say it again, weak. All that build up for a one hit KO? I like Gai because he uses actual ninja moves, not because he can hurl is sweat at people.

I had to look up who the fourth Mizukage was. Are we suppose to remember him? Sometimes these endless hidden villages and random characters feels as convoluted as the internal chakra system. Where is the room for your internal organs?

Am I correct in assuming that Kisame just committed suicide? Annoying. Death through tongue biting is omnipresent in Japanese literature…whilst in reality you wouldn’t die…you’d just be tongueless. You’d have to be a huge piece of fail in order to choke on your tongue…and blood loss won’t make you die all that swift either. Heck, if people around you want to keep you alive they can.
Biting off the tongue in order to ensure that he can’t talk doesn’t help all that much either since they’re prying straight into his mind >.<. Since he managed to break loose he would've been better off not biting his tongue and just making a run for it…or if he was certain he wouldn't manage to escape, break loose and run head first into a wall or do some suicide-jutsu.
In a world where you can take multiple stabbings, fisticuffs and lariats it just doesn't make sense that getting a real-world non lethal injury leads to certain death lol.

Anyway, Gai pulled through. Easier than expected but at least it's over with. I also approve of the fact that Gai didn't wimp out after his victory (as many Shounen protagonists do). He didn't offer Kisame a hand or his undying friendship…he layed the smackdown on him because he did so much as flinch. Naruto should be taking notes.

Backstories like these are a cheap way to emotionally draw your audience in though…if we were supposed to sympathize with Kisame at any point it should've happened before he died. Really cheesy storytelling like this makes me sad.

Overall a dissapointing chapter. Altough I do have to admit that pointy haired Kisame looked bad-ass in his Kirigakure garments. Ah well, in some way it’s fulfilling since, now that they’ve closed things off, there’s some room for plot advancement.

Anyway, Akatsuki falling apart is probably not that troubling for Madara…after all his goal didn't quite resonate with the other Akatsuki members so he'd have to dispose of them sooner or later. Pain and Zetsu are probably the only ones he deemed keepers.

Ah well, unto the next chapter.

actually you can die from the tongue butting thing

you don’t have to choke on the piece of tounge you can choke on the blood or you will bleed out the point is not opening your mouth Kisame has opened his mouth so he is not going to die from it
Kisame just did that to free himself from the jutsu

your not really supposed to feel for Kisame your just supposed to learn a bit about his life

Honestly I did not feel for Kisame as the back story was just to show how hardened he was and what his motives were

Kisame is definitely is pretty kick @ss. For the sake of the mission he would kill his own teammates, leave part of his body, and kill himself. That’s pretty crazy. I didn’t feel too sympathetic for Kisame, when I saw his past, I simply thought he was already messed up in the head. Though I got to admit, its pretty lonely when you have to be the last one to live. And the clean up must be horrible.

I still don’t understand his motive though. It doesn’t make a sense. If he wants to live in a world of truth, why would he team up with Madara?

Why would KABUTO team up with Madara?

Because plot said so.

Madara is the plot.

Anything can ‘accidentally” happen so madara can just as planned.
