Kushina reflects upon how her Eddy Village had a longstanding alliance with the Leaf Village, and so she was chosen for her fox-retardant chakra and her village’s healthy lifestyle. Back when Hashirama fought against Madara, Hashirama gained control of the Kyuubi and his wife Uzumaki Mito sealed the Kyuubi inside herself to aid Hashirama. Kushina was brought to be the next jinchuuriki, and she was taught that to be a vessel, one must first fill the vessel with love.
Like taking baby from a candy
Unfortunately, while Kushina eventually had a happy life, she fell prey to Minato’s bishie charms and got pregnant. Jinchuurikis are less able to control their sealed tailed beasts when pregnant, because growing a baby takes up so much energy. Also, the baby gives the mommy really bad stretch marks and mood swings, leading to the kind of emo that lets tailed beasts get out of control. Since the birth had to be kept secret, Kushina was not heavily guarded, and once Naruto was born, Madara stole him and took him hostage.
Reaction:
This was not too surprising, but at least we got a confirmation of exactly what happened to let Madara unleash the Kyuubi. You’d think afterMito, that everyone would have learned to use dudes or really ugly chicks as jinchuurikis, but I suppose that would be discrimination. Plus apparently being a lady in the streets and a sealed fox in the sheets is very desirable to male Hokages.
There are so many possible jokes for when the seal gets the weakest, so I’m glad Kushina didn’t say “when you’re on the toilet” or “when you’re getting your freak on.” Plus, if Kushina had had twins or triplets, that Kyuubi definitely would have burst out of the canal. The fact that the Kyuubi was so out powerful and of control, however, leads me to believe that as much as Kushina was filled with love, she didn’t suck out the chakra the way Killer Bee did. Also, was Minato seriously the only one who could maintain the seal? That seems like the sort of thing some random scrub ninja would specialize in, so that Minato could guard against intruders.

Finally… Nice Chapter and Nice Review, So Naruto Mom knew each other with Sasuke mom ^_^ and Uzumaki is a CLAN.
Yeah, must piss of Uchiha clan that the Uzumaki symbol is on all the flak vests. Or, it must piss Sasuke off anyway.

Alll I can say about this chapter is….
COOOOORNYYY cheese.
I was getting flashbacks of the horror that is gundam seed destiny, thorough the entirety of the chapter. And pretty much everything including the “cliffhanger” felt meh…
There were the times when I expected “the kyuubi disaster” flashback to be an epic and interesting scene, with thousands of ninjas all at once fighting a huge demonic scary being, who does not have any reasons and is just purely malevolent eldritch horror creature.
No ridiculous ki-balls or bullshit, just awesome wuxia-style combat that equals a man fighting against a hurricane…Then their leader, having no other choice uses this old forbidden tech to stop the creature, sacrificing his life…
And what did we get instead?
Bond-Villain-Madara-who-is-not-really-madara pulling out just-as-planned and purposely making kyuubi(who kishi forgot how to draw) loose so he sets in motion whatever he wanted to set in motion.
meh.
Well, sometimes you gotta sit through these chapters if you want to know who the heck Madara/Tobi really is.
Kyuubi has been looking wackier and wackier with every chapter!
