Summary:
How did you get my original body? And why is it only wearing a speedo?!
Kabuto reveals one especially creepy body that he’s brought back to Madara, and this trump card is enough to cow Madara. We never see who it is, but it’s enough to convince Madara to agree to give Kabuto Sasuke after the war ends. In the meantime, Kabuto isn’t allowed near Sasuke’s sweet, young, fragile, did-I-mention-young Uchiha body. Anko’s squad spots the evil duo leaving down a tunnel with Tokuma’s Byakugan, and returns to Konoha to deliver the information.

Meanwhile, Fukasaku explains to Naruto that the Kyuubi is basically a giant busty ball of chakra with a nice ass that is unfortunately paired with a really bad personality. Fortunately, there’s a way to get to the chakra without letting the Kyuubi’s evil mind through. Even better, after he hits it, he doesn’t even have to cuddle or call Kyuubi back the next day. Elsewhere, Kisame listens in on the Kumogakure war council because Killer Bee is an idiot.

I wonder what Kabuto showed Madara. At first I thought it’d be really sweet if it was Minato in the box, because that would really get Naruto’s goat, but then I figured that Minato wouldn’t really freak Madara out that much. I suspect it is more likely that Madara is in a new body, and Kabuto brought Madara’s original body out. I mean, if Orochimaru can switch bodies all the time, why can’t Madara? Anyway, that Kabuto is a sly guy, and I’m pretty sure he wanted to get caught by Anko. He’s probably hoping Konoha will keep Madara busy so that he can kidnap Sasuke and bring Sasuke back to his little love nest.
More importantly, I want to know how zombie Pain works. Do Pain’s chakra-zombies daisy-chain correctly? Is this a fire hazard?

Yeah, I think the mystery zombie is most likely Madara’s original body or perhaps a new character. Hopefully we’ll find out who’s in that coffin soon.
I’m starting to doubt my original theory, but I could see it being a new character. Then again, it might be hard to care about a new character when the original version of that character is already dead.
I love that even Kabuto wants to molest Sasuke. Orochimaru is back, everyone!!
It’s gotten to the point where old men, young men, and all women want Sasuke. In a few chapters, the frogs are going to start talking about how badly they want Sasuke too.
Don’t forget Kabuto’s corpses; they’ll be fawning over him in no time. Guess it’s a new version of necrophilia…
hmmm Madara’s body would be more logical… i actually, given Madara’s reaction, thought that Kabuto found the Rikudō Sennin’s body given how fond of deus ex machina Kishi’s been lately
Kinda sad though, reminds us again how useless woman are in Naruto since Konan was probably defeated off screen since i wouldn’t think she wouldn’t just leave Pain’s body alone in a ditch to find….. then again that’s the same with the other bodies….
You make an excellent point, and the more I think about it, the less I think it could be Madara’s body. When you look at how the summon works, you see that any random body is used to house a dead person’s soul. This gets around problems like Itachi’s eyeballs missing and makes it impossible for the mystery zombie to be Madara’s, as Madara is still alive and his soul is currently in use. The Sage is a good choice, since that would be a pretty crazy zombie, but even crazier would be if Kabuto summoned a female, because everyone knows that females in the Naruto universe generally suck.
Still think that somehow it is Madara’s old body and that he is currently residing in Obito. You got a good point about the how the summoning works, but why else are they focused on constantly showing only that one eye? Also, tobi is very similar to obito.

Yea, it’s most likely his old body or his old self, which would strike fear in him since it is his body after all. With the Edo Tensei still retaining the person’s attacks and techniques, Madara fighting himself might be something that even he will find tough, let alone fighting it along with Kabuto and his puppets.
My first thought was that it was Madara’s brother in the mystery coffin. I’ve never seriously subscribed to the idea that Madara ever switched bodies, so that didn’t occur to me – and given Kabitizin’s point above, that seems to be ruled out.
I think kabuto summoned … madara .. because tobi is not madara … madara is dead and tobi is just impersonating him … so if an original madara is jay-walking on the battle field … everybody would say … “crap … obito is a fake clown … let’s skin ‘em” … lolz
That makes a lot of sense, and might be the most reasonable conclusion. There’s no reason to assume that Madara’s soul has been hitchhiking in random bodies the way Orochimaru’s was.
Of course we are all assuming it was a body in the coffin, when it could have been anything. Based only on Madara’s reaction, it could even be something like an iPad hacked to run Windows 7.
If that indeed the case, then the true question is who the hell is Tobi.
Madara may in fact be an imposter (perhaps he is Obito, like Saru said above, the timeline seems to fit at first glance, but it might fall apart with closer scrutiny???), but HIS EYE may be LEGIT. What if Madara’s Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan is really something of an “heirloom” item? Perhaps it is passed down (tranplanted) to a chosen successor in each generation, or something of the like. Or maybe an elderly, ailing Madara found Obito and saved his life, giving him his own eyes to restore his sight, being close to death himself.
Proven through Kakashi’s case is the fact that it is possible to transplant Sharingan eyes to people who are completely unrelated. So what if there is a level to be achieved beyond the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, after transplanting a sibling’s eyes to obtain it? What if you were to take or trade eyes with another Uchiha clan member (Not necessarily a direct relative) who had also achieved the Eternal? Would you then be able to increase your power by four-fold? Maybe the left eye covered by Madara’s mask has a completely different Mangekyo design altogether, namely his own- or perhaps is absent???
Perhaps the real Madara told Obito (or whoever else imposter Madara may be) his life story right before death, and in gratitude for saving his life, Obito decided to carry on Madara’s will. Or maybe a side effect of this procedure is memory implantation- explaining why this “imposter” knows so much about Madara’s life history, including the fact that Izuna’s eyes were willingly given.
So perhaps the one in the last coffin IS the real, DEAD Madara Uchiha. I don’t think there is any reason to believe that it is anything else besides a dead body in that coffin because Kabuto did use the Resurrection Jutsu to summon it. There’s no guarantee that the thing is HUMAN, of course, but in my opinion it is almost certainly an undead something…
Or maybe, we’re all simply reading waaaay too much into this, and the person in the box really is someone boring like the Sage or Madara’s bro…. ;P
