Joining SeaSlugs! is a lot like this scene from Candy Boy... except for the whole yuri twincest thing.
Some of you may recognize my username from the comments here at SS!AB, or my extremely short episode reviews over at Haiku Anime Review. Some of you may be fearing that I’ll carry on the same thing I do there over here, but you can rest assured that I’ve agreed to translate my warped sense of humor into a longer format suitable for those with more than 5 seconds of time on their hands. For the rest of the readers here who I haven’t exposed myself to haven’t been exposed to me, I say “hello,” and “I hope that our time here will be mutually enjoyable.”
I wanted to join SS!AB because of the great community feel that Kabitzin has always fostered here. That, along with the solid entertainment value that the site provides, makes this a place that I wanted to call home. If I can contribute to either of those things I will consider my time here to be successful and, if I’m lucky, I’ll be able to contribute to both. Also, Kabitzin told me that this was the only way he’d ever agree to have matching cell phone straps. Okay, that second part may be a slight untruth, but only because I couldn’t hear exactly what he said as we were both running at the time. Not exactly together, but only because he’s faster than I am. In my heart of hearts I know he agreed. Let’s move on.
Don't fight it.
I’m a fan of two kinds of anime: good shows and bad shows. While this may seem to cover just about everything ever produced, I’m really only a fan of good shows and bad shows that are so bad that they are awesome. I watch quite a few things that don’t fall into either of those categories hoping that they will eventually end up in one of them, usually leading me to watch things through to their bitter end (the only anime I’ve ever officially dropped according to MAL was Death Note, because Light and L and their antics were not very interesting to me. Well, that and the suicide of the female FBI agent indicated a complete lack of imagination on Light’s part).
My favorite shows to watch are ones that involve trashy drama with the potential for multiple deaths by stabbing and/or fire. Since I can’t have those every season I make do with just about anything else. I don’t exclude shows from my watch list just because they’ve been categorized as moé, or mecha, or as vehicles for ridiculous fanservice: as long as a series has potential for entertainment, I’ll give it a shot. Though that doesn’t always turn out for the best, I’ve ended up enjoying quite a few shows that I initially scoffed at, including some that are marginally related to the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
And with that, I think I’ll bring this intro to a close. I’m both happy and humbled to be a part of this great team, and I am very much looking forward to this opportunity to entertain you. If you have any questions please ask them in the comments, and thanks for reading!

Holy Moly, it’s the haiku person!!!
I’ve always wondered what went on behind the poetry, but hearing you bash Death Note in your first post makes me wonder if I really want that =(
Man, I was gonna say that!
Welcome! Anyone that disparages Light is a friend in my book. ;P
Thanks!
Well, no anime is truly dropped forever, right?
Who knows, I may attempt it again one day.
You’re lookin’ fabulous in blue, my friend!
Thank you.
I wish you did more Chu-Bra haiku.
Comments are a good way to indicate interest.
Got way behind on Chu-Bra, but there’s hope for it yet. I hope you’ll find my posts here amusing as well.
There is, its an amusing show, but I couldn’t help but feel weird learning underwear. I’m glad to hear that your open minded. I for one give a show a chance, even if I do regret it in the end.
I’ve definitely had more good experiences taking a chance on things than bad ones.
I hope they gave you a good signing bonus.
Twice as much as J159 got… whoops.
I guess there’s no need
to talk to you in haiku
format anymore
this is kinda awkward…
The same rules apply
For haiku comments, posts here
Will just be longer.
Not abandoning
My bad poetry calling:
Branching out a bit.
i welcome you i tried out but my internet died on me before i could send the test blog any welcome
Thanks for the welcome.
I didn’t want to make the first comment, so I waited a little, and now I’m way behind…XD
Anyway, looking forward to see posts from someone new in the mix.
Thanks! I hope my posts prove to be amusing. And I don’t bite. Mostly.
I’m already a fan, so I’m happy to see you posting here! Hooray!
Oh, you. Thanks!
Wow, congratulations on joining the team. I’m looking forward to some “long form” content from you.
Thanks! Hopefully my long form content passes muster.
Nice to meet you Halfadeckshort! looking forward to seeing what you review and post, i do enjoy coming to this blog to see whats going on. Enjoy!
Nice to meet you! Thanks!
Btw, you should rename this post: “Haiku-namatata!!!” *BA DUM PSH* (oh yeaaahhh!!! =D)
Yeah, it should have definitely been something more girly (you know what they say about payback). Wish I’d thought of that though.
That’s like saying you were going to watch the sunrise on the mountain but it was too much of a haiku.
Damn, Halfie definitely needs to step his game up! ;P
*btw, you don’t mind me calling you “Halfie” right? Halfadeckshort is harder to type than Jesus159159159 =(
Now, now. The post title was also supposed to be a play on the blanket in my first pic. Haikudn’t come up with anything else linking the two wasn’t any less obvious. And you can shorten my name as you’d like. I’m used to “hey, you.”
@ Kabitzin
OTL *still got it*
@ Halfadeckshort
Yeah, I completely approve of your first pic. Looking fwd to blogging alongside you!
I thought you might appreciate that one.
And I’m also looking forward to our new
indentured servitudeblogging adventure together!Looks like Sea Slugs! has absorbed another
victimblog author. Will the carnage ever end!?Lol just kidding. Congrats on getting the position
The probe was surprisingly gentle. And thanks!
Cool beans. Romance of the 3 kingdoms is one of the best series of all times that no one’s ever played. Also in that vein: Suikoden / ‘Bandit kings of Ancient China’ on the NES.
School Days created that new Eroge visual novel “Cross Days.”
If it ever becomes a series, you should review that
OMG another one!!!! I wish they could be adapted to an anime.
You may wanna take that back…
OMG, ITS A TRAP!!!!!…I’m still for summer days and…I can’t say it!!!!
I’d review it, no matter what it “entails,” but I think Kabitzin has dibs on Makoto’s exploits.
oho, so you’re one of the new writers huh? look forward reading your posts
hilariously bad shows are so much fun to watch, because you don’t have to care how bad it gets, as long as it doesn’t try to actually get better. Then it could go into the not bad enough to be funny but not good enough to be good category and no one wants that.
Thanks!
And I hear you on that, I’d rather have spectacular failure over mediocre anime any day.
Welcome to the team! I’ll try and not mention Haiku in thi….
oh crap
Thanks! And bad poetry is your friend!
