Naruto 484 naruto 0484 01

Wait, did you just shrink my boobs? You said you were going to enlarge them! I TRUSTED YOU!!!

Summary:

Naruto 484 naruto 0484 02

Why do you keep facepalming, Kakashi? Hmm... Sakura is behind me, isn't she?

Kakashi tries to get Sakura to stay away by ordering her to heal Karin.  Karin can’t help but sympathize with the sobbing Sakura, as Sasuke works himself into a vengeful froth at the sight of Kakashi’s Sharingan.  Sasuke brings back Susanoo for another speedy arrow, and of course instead of dodging the arrow, Kakashi warps the arrow away with his Mangekyo.  Once again, Kakashi implores Sasuke to look inside his heart and find more than revenge; unfortunately, when Sasuke sees his smiling friends in his heart, he gets angry that they aren’t as emo about Itachi as he is.

Naruto 484 naruto 0484 03

Damsel in distress no jutsu

Sasuke powers up Susanoo, but suddenly his vision goes and Susanoo fizzles.  Don’t worry Sasuke, it happens to everyone *snicker*.  Before Kakashi can do anything (since he moves like he’s drunk after using the Mangekyo), Sakura zips in to try to backstab Sasuke.  As expected, Sakura chickens out and gets taken hostage by Sasuke.  This is Naruto’s cue to enter, and he sweeps Sakura off her feet before Sasuke can kill her.

Reaction:

I really hope that Madara warps in and carries Sasuke off in his arms the way Naruto did with Sakura.  That would be awesome.  Other than that, it was the same ole useless Sakura act once more.  This battle could have resulted in victory in so many different ways, and yet Sakura managed to completely blow it.  First, she could have thrown a sleep bomb as she went for the backstab.  Second, she could have punched Sasuke in the face with her super strength when he grabbed her at close range.  Third, she could have used her super strength to prevent Sasuke from gingerly taking the kunai out of her hand.  I mean, WTF Sakura?  It’s like Sakura has absolutely no fighting skills, but everyone is afraid to tell her because Sakura is such a skilled medic.

Anyway, I’m willing to bet that Naruto will get a few macho words in, but before the battle can really get underway Sasuke will escape.  Sasuke is too injured for this to be a fair fight, so we’ll be left high and dry once again, and Naruto will have to go back to the village and mope with Sakura.  Oh yeah, BTW, was Karin always so flat?  And if Karin fell in love with Sasuke after he rescued her, shouldn’t she fall in love with Sakura next?

While it does seem inevitable that Madara will swoop in for the rescue, I hope Naruto is able to get some words in before that happens. And with Sasuke is that sorry state and Naruto stronger than ever, it’s safe to say that this isn’t going to be a repeat of Oro’s lair.

And yea, I never knew Karin was so under-developed. I guess that coat had padding or something ;P

Sakura, that dumb, useless girl. It’s like she went into that attack trying to fail, and of course she failed.

And if Karin fell in love with Sasuke after he rescued her, shouldn’t she fall in love with Sakura next?

We could use some lesbians in this series. That’d be better use of the female characters.

When she was thinking about how Kakashi shouldn’t have to bear the burden of killing Sasuke, I was thinking that the biggest burden on Kakashi is Sakura herself…

I was gonna say exactly that; Karin getting with Sakura would be the best it has ever happened to this series in a long time.

This chapter is again a déjà-vu of the previous one.
Naruto 483: Sakura tries to kill Sasuke, but fails horribly and is rescued by an intervening Kakashi.
Naruto 484: Sakura tries to kill Sasuke, but fails horribly and is rescued by an intervening Naruto.

They were pushing this whole neo-sannin thing, but Sakura is just absolutely terrible. If she just did nothing, she would be more helpful!

Haha, loved the caption “Damsel in distress jutsu”. And, although I agree that Madara coming to swoop Sasuke up is optimal, I’m not sure it is feasible to consider that Madara could escape both burdened and unscathed from both Kakashi and Naruto. Rather looking forward to next week’s chapter ^_^

PS: If I had my choosing, I’d want that Venus flytrap / Akatsuki member to do his cool teleportation trick to rescue Sasuke. Fingers crossed!

Sakura was kind of annoying in this chapter. Well, it seems like it’s approaching an end with a Naruto x Sasuke showdown, but I’m more inclined to go with your thoughts. Perhaps Tobi will come and warp him away or something.

I figure for sure Madara is gonna sweep Sasuke off his feet like what Naruto did for Sakura. A fully charged Naruto could probably beat a wounded Sasuke at this point, and it wouldn’t make for much of a final battle.

Perhaps Karin’s a boy after all?
