Summary:

Sawako takes a day off from her intense trashathalon training to bake a cake and have Chizuru and Ayane over at her place.  Although Ayane failed by bringing over a redundant box of cakes, she makes up for it in providing Sawako with the first pictures in which Sawako doesn’t look like a photobomber.  There’s even a few photos of Shota getting ready to grope a sleeping Sawako before realizing Ayane was going paparazzo on him.

Meanwhile Shota is out walking Maru when he runs into Ryu and realizes they’ve both been getting tons of calls from Pin.  Pin came down with a cold, and instead of following Sawako’s advice he fapped and drank booze until he passed out with exhaustion.  Pin thinks that only Sawako can undo the curse, but all it takes is a little tender loving from Shota to nurse Pin back to health.  Of course Pin thinks that Sawako exorcised a curse, and so tricks Sawako into later grabbing onto Shota and closing her eyes for 5 seconds.  Shota falls for the trap, but unfortunately by the time he goes for the kiss, Sawako opens her eyes and pulls away in shock.  Still, she’s pleased with how things are going and wonders if one day she will be able to confess her feelings to Shota.

Reaction:

Normally Pin is kinda annoying, but I have to give him props for making this episode very entertaining.  He really has quite a bit of luck, getting his students to clean up his place after his drunken fap-fest, and one can only hope that everyone wore gloves while cleaning Pin’s apartment.  Sawako grabbing onto Shota was very cute, but it seems that Shota’s reaction time has really worsened since he stopped going to baseball practice.  Too bad, I thought the play would be good for a single at least!

Ryu and Maru made for a rather pathetic wingman/wingdog pair, but at least Sawako has better comrades.  Ayane and Chizuru ran the isolation play very well, rubbing off Ryu (although Maru was left unguarded).  I’m starting to feel like Ayane and Chizuru, though, in getting really frustrated whenever Shota and Sawako fail to take the next step.  How many more episodes of teasing must we endure?!
