MY DARLIN' DARLIN' PLEASE!!!

Nazuna receives a love letter from a popular guy at school (WITH A BIG PENIS), but after opening it, she realizes it’s from the Hidamari-Gang (ah shucks!). It reads: “Dear Nazuna and Other Girl, We are going to reenact Lucky Star in a few minutes cause we love money. Be sure to bring booze. Also, be there or be Rectangular *hyuk* Love, SHAFT”. At this so-called money-making-party, they DICE ROLL play games that encourage interaction between the members. Everyone learns something new from this dice-game, including Nori’s interest in computers, the weirdness of previous Hidamari residents, and Yoshinoya’s large rack.
LMAO!!! HE SAID SHE'S NOT INTO IT; SHE'S INTEL-IT, CAUSE SHE'S INTO COMPUTERS!!! OH MY GOD JESUS159159159 YOU'RE SO FUNNY!!! ALSO, I'M INTEL-ING YOU GUYS ABOUT THE JOKE RIGHT NOW!!! YOU KNOW!?! XD
"uhh... yeaaa, that... that's a great joke, Yuno! HA HA!!! d-don't you agree, Hiro?" -- "THAT JOKE SUCKED DI-*SMACK*-eerr, I mean, HAHA, AWESOME JOKE JESUS159159159!!!"
The next day, they learn that Nazuna is actually in remedial General Education classes. She explains that she’s not good at anything which is why she is taking Gen Ed classes at the nearby Yamabuki Art School… When she left, the Hidamari-Gang started talking behind her back, saying stuff along the lines of, “That’s like going to the School of Visual Arts to learn how to fly a plane” and/or “that’s like going to American Idol to become a Pop-Star!” Despite the harsh criticism, they compliment her hair.
During the halfway-flashback-point, Yuno decides she needs to get her hair did. Miyako conveniently burnt part of her hair, and also needs to get her hair did. The final convenience is Hiro, for she gives them coupons to a nearby salon specifically for getting hair did. As you may come to expect, Yuno and Miyako get their hair did. THE END!

"FAIL!!! FACKIN' FAIL I HATE YOU!!! SNOOP DOGG IS NOT WHITE!!! AND HE'S NOT A REAL DOG YOU IDIOT!!! GAWD!!!
Impressions:
That was a very Lucky-Starish / pointless interesting dice die game they played at the beginning, but it was also a bit… forced? For instance, one side of the die said “Nazuna asks us a question”, which is almost like reading the script or something. “Okay, we want you to interact with each other, and luckyStarily for you guys, your lines are right on this die! GO, DICE ROLL!!! Your Pals, SHAFT” Either way, I found Nazuna’s confession to be quite impacting, and I can’t say she’s a worthless character anymore (maybe it’s ’cause I’m very similar to her? HMMM?!?!). I also found her scene to be very short for something emotional. In fact, Nori pretty much smacks her across the face and tells her to get over it. When you think about it, that’s really the solution to most of our problems: “Get over it and try again”! Smacking for added emphasis, LIKE CAPS!!! AND GAYMING!!!
Even though I wanted more from the new cast, I did enjoy the second half with Yuno and Miyako. I especially loved all the jokes with Yuno’s mature-obsession, the salon chair scene, and Hiro’s stash of coupons. I’m getting a bit iffy with the nose-shadow, though. It looks like dirt (no offense). Finally, I’m glad TheBigN got his Miyako-naked wish, but it was rather short. Almost like the number 2!
They called it interesting when I was resting at his intersection. "You Shall Not Pass!", I said, and he replied "You like over-the-top, but I like TOP-LESS!" He undressed me, "Pass the dressing if you will" *jizz jazz jiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiizzz*... Jesus was a Gangsta Jigg. He's bustin' for the Customers.

OMG all these pics are KAWAII!!! Especially Nazuna. I feel bad for her situation. Now we get some character feedback, we find out some more on at least one of the new characters. I had a feeling her parents were unusual, but I really didn’t expect this. Poor girl, well its a good thing she has some good senpais to help.
I can’t believe Nori’s the one with the computer. I really thought it was Nazuna, Nori just doesn’t look like a computer person. I can’t believe stereotypes FAILED ME!!
Yugioh Dugeon Dice monsters anyone? And about the Dice game, actually I think its pretty well thought out. There’s always a chance that newcomers may not speak, or say anything unless they are asked. And sometimes you get the uncooperative one.
Yea, I couldn’t believe Nori had the computer either. It makes me wonder what will Nazuna bring to the table? She doesn’t draw, she doesn’t cook, AND she doesn’t use the internet? I get this feeling that she knows how to “do hair”, so to speak. I’m assuming Hiro’s mention of her hair wasn’t just some random occurrence, but we’ll see!
Oh, and interesting mention on the dice game. I guess it was a good idea to forcibly write down the script on the die! :3
Actually, everything in this episode comes straight from the manga. I just caught up with it and it’s really good
I have no problem with the content of this episode (and I don’t hate the Dice Game. I’m only poking fun at it ;3), but even if all of this was in the manga, I still feel that the new characters weren’t properly introduced. I tend to hate (and this is not a direct attack at you) when people say “Oh don’t worry it’ll get better cause in the manga this and this happened and they still have time to cover the Tournament Arc and this and that” <—BULLSHIT!!! The anime can turn into crap at any moment, and I’ve learned this from DtBG. I love Hidamari Sketch, so I need to push my fanboyism to a side once in a while.
Edit: Love the time you wrote that comment. Oh yes I do!
What I meant to say was that it wasn’t SHAFT who came up with the dice game
As for the lackluster introduction, it was handled better than in the manga where the short chapter length made it feel too abrupt
Ah, I see! Since it’s a 4-koma (wait, it still is, right?) I guess it wouldn’t be too hard to believe the introduction would feel too abrupt. Also, I still feel iffy about the ED sequence, since the new characters aren’t featured there at all. Of course, it’s too early to say how SHAFT will continue to use the characters, so I’m hoping for good things =3
Also, GAAAAAAAAAHHHH I really want to read the manga now! I should make some time for it.
Btw, that Olive Salon reminded me of this song! Let’s take it back:
(hope it pastes correctly!)
OM NOM NOM Miyako devours~
I AM FINALLY CAUGHT UP!
Miyako’s haircut was awesome, but I’m kinda surprised no one has made any comments about her being blonde :p That seems like the kinda thing that they’d use to poke fun at their own show.
That was pretty quick! I usually take my slice-of-life marathons at an extremely slow pace, but good to see another Hidamarier!
and yea… I never thought of that before. Maybe Nazuna could be considered blonde as well, and if so, it would explain the nicely shaped melons! THE FIND OF THE CENTURY!!!
