Having an apartment that is literally one block away from the school, the Hidamari-Gang checks on a few students who are taking the entrance exams. Yuno receives a mysterious text message from a classmate, and after the OP is done, we find out she is now the proud owner of a new hand-me-down bike! FOR FREE! Yes! A classmate was willing to give away her old bike since she got a new one. Hiro is all like “OH EM GEE I CAN USE THIS TO LOOSE WEIGHT” so when she sits her fat-ass on it, KA-BOOM, BIKE EXPLODED! THE END!

Impressions:
201 would usually be a reference to Darker Than BLACK, but in this case, HIDAMARI SKETCH IS BACK! Since the new season will air in a couple of days, I decided to blog the recent x365 specials to get into the hang of things.
Anyways, it’s been awhile since I’ve seen a Hidamari Sketch episode, so it was great getting used to the pace again. Some moments that I liked were the Gofer scene, Hiro encouraging Yuno to ride the bike, and of course, the Sae x Natsume love scene (awww). It’s also interesting to mention how Sae still acts like she had a boyfriend (she’s covered love-novels, y’know). It was cute learning how it was her sister’s arms around her and not some guy like she proclaims.
I’m really looking forward to the new season, and hopefully *BLUSH* HE’LL COMMENT ON MY POSTS AGAIN!!!

I haven’t watched/read this yet. I probably should, but it’s somewhere buried in my backlog. Just from screencaps though, I didn’t really realize that blue haired person was a girl. orz
GURRRRRRLLL you bettah watch it soon!… well, to be honest, I haven’t ‘read’ the manga either, but the anime is relaxing if you’re into that sort of thing. A slice-of-life sort of thing! ;P

Still the drawing style of the manga compared to the anime is different at times. It quite refreshing at times, but I’m glad they kept the chibi sized (not sure if that how you call this style) in the seventh pic the same. Hidamari is a relaxing series to watch, and seeing Yuna try to remember how to ride a bike brought back some memories of my first bike.
I love that little guy, I can’t tell if he suppose to be a Caterpillar, or a chameleon. Perhaps both, I don’t know.

Sae does add a weird spice to the group. I always enjoy when she pretends that she’s very experienced.
