Summary:
Susanoo rumbles around some more, but nothing seems to hurt Danzo for long. Karin’s abilities suggest they are not stuck in genjutsu (yet!), but even Amaterasu seems unable to phase Danzo. Sasuke then summons a giant hawk to skateboard through the air on, and slices off Danzo’s left arm. Unfortunately, Danzo keeps appearing unhurt, like he’s resetting the state on an emulator.
One of the eyes turned into a vagina!
Danzo keeps mentioning Itachi, and like some kind of urban myth, Sasuke disappears in a flock of crows and Itachi suddenly appears behind Danzo.

Well of course the big mystery is the nature of Danzo’s power. This mysterious ability kinda reminds me of trying to figure out Dio’s power in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. My guess is that it is a contingency-triggered time-space jutsu. Most of the time we think of Sharingan’s as being genjutsu specific, but several Uchiha nin have used it to teleport their target or do other wacky time/space stuff. I figure Danzo can reload a copy of himself at a specific location whenever he dies, until all his eyes are closed.
As for Sasuke, sometimes it’s hard to believe he used to be such a clever ninja. Now he just spams all his best (but chakra intensive) moves without thought. With these mysterious powers battles, it’s always wiser to toss a few kunai first, because the opponent will usually allow himself to be hit to show how weird and mysterious his power is. And that hawk summon was just stupid. Why bother? As for Itachi, I’m betting it’s genjutsu time.

Ah man, after this chapter I can only say wth, Itachi!!! Good to see he’s back, but Danzo’s arm is troubling me. Looks like Karin either got caught by that eye or she noticed something. I’m wondering if the fact that Itachi came back was the result of that jutsu Itachi placed on Sasuke a while back. I think Madara explained it was a backup that Itachi implemented in case Madara tries to do anything to sasuke. And yup, next chapter is definitely a genjutsu battle.
Sasuke can probably kill/seal Danzo in one go if he had Itachi’s haXX0r sword, otherwise he’ll probably have to grind it out and kill Danzo like 40 times.
Let’s see what Tsukuyomi can do against Danzo.
Hawk summon was necessary because Sasuke dodged Danzou’s attack by jumping off the bridge.
I thought dishing out Susanoo from the get-go was a pretty safe choice and fresh compare to other conventional shonen stuff. But that amaterasu was a complete waste, not to mention super inconvenient if it’s gonna pop veins and cause massive bleeding every time he use it. Hawk was necessary though since even Sasuke can’t fly (anymore). Summons hardly cost anything to use.
