Even though he has better transformation control at the end of the series, I still wouldn’t risk it.

True, but then you’d have to worry about being stabbed/shot by a jealous third (or fourth) party.
It’s like the riddle about moving a wolf and a sheep across the river with only one boat. In this case, the puzzle is easier because only Sakura likes Natsuru-ko, so as long as you keep her out you should be ok.
Oh, so by boat you mean…. And the river would be…. I see. So what you’re really saying is that it would be better to leave Sakura and Mikoto on one side of the river, Natsuru on the other, and take the boat with Shizuku and Akane in it. I totally agree.
