Summary:

Eiji is in some deep doo doo, because the police are after him for tax evasion and fraud.  Rina thinks that it’s a setup, and I agree that Frankie probably set Eiji up so Frankie could get his damn audio suite back and sing along with his records in his horrible scratchy voice.  Everyone from Ogata Productions is in hiding, and when Yuki goes to comfort Eiji, he takes the opportunity to engage in a little crying fest and then make out with Yuki.  It seems like Yuki then runs to confess to Touya, and he no longer sees Yuki as the air anymore.

We get a bit of a flashback of Menou finding Natsuko in an alley and taking her in, and apparently the lip-syncing was taking place before Itsuki got there.  Menou’s name is mud, and Touin leaves for another production company.  Naturally, Rina takes the opportunity to replace Menou, since Rina’s already practiced Secret Chaos many times.  Menou is hiding out at Touya’s place, and he cannot remember where he first met her.  Touya even goes to visit Akira to see if Akira remembers, but only Menou seems to remember that Touya first met her at a young age.  Meanwhile, Tamaru is mad that Misaki twisted his story around, and so he sends Hiiragi-san to infiltrate M3.  Hiiragi-san takes a moment to stalk Yuki, and then hides while Rina drinks some green tea and then tosses it away like it’s poison…

Reaction:

Wow this episode was confusing! Anyway, I’m glad to see this happen to Eiji, because I dislike him even more than I dislike Akira.  Rina acted like the whole thing was no big deal, but it sounds like Eiji really did commit fraud back when he framed Rina in the smoking scandal, just so he could build his secret underground room.  And how could Rina not have recognized Frankie in the smoking scheme, if he was her caretaker?  I guess she doesn’t really care that much since she became a star and now she can compete in the Venus Festival.  In fact, I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if this was another one of Eiji’s retarded games to get Yuki to break up with Touya for good.  Eiji had mentioned that Yuki could never forgive herself for infidelity, and apparently slipping Touya incredible pheromones and horndog pills was not working (and they were running out of random female characters for him to bone).

I wasn’t too surprised that Akira was fine, with just a few scratches.  I wonder if Akira found out that Misaki already got knocked up, and that’s why he wasn’t too pissed at Touya.  The scene with Natsuko singing alone in the dark room was pretty funny, but it got even better when someone pounded on the wall and told her to STFU.  I wonder what happened with Hiiragi-san, and it would make sense for him to get revenge on Rina for firing him.  I wish the previews were a little more reliable, because I am pretty sure that loli-Rina and loli-Yuki are not going to make out in a pool next episode.  Finally, I bet Eiji made Yuki play the piano because she can’t dance and he used all the choreographer’s salary money for crappy fake paintings.

No shit, eh?

The scene with Natsuko singing alone in the dark room was pretty funny, but it got even better when someone pounded on the wall and told her to STFU.

Hahaha, that was so good, I was wondering if she was in the room with Menou and Touya as well, actually, but that was even better.

Poor Rina D: I really hope that she didn’t manage to swallow any of whatever the hell Hiiragi put in that drink. Man, I’d hate to see Rina be the one to kick the bucket, but I get the feeling that eventually SOMEONE is gonna go. Just a matter of who and how many of them. I could certainly see Eiji going too, as he’s already pretty much called the police on himself.

Man, White Album really does NOT disappoint, and now I understand your YESSSSSS reaction on twitter :p

Maybe Hiiragi just peed or jizzed in the green tea. Poor Rina, sisters keep getting a raw deal on this show.

he no longer sees Yuki as the air anymore

His animal instincts told him that she’s used goods, even he knows that you can’t breate CO2. And I could totally see that being another one of Eiji’s stupid plots. All I know is that Frankie should have started punching Eiji at an early age. With him and Kanzaki’s daughters (okay, everyone in the cast), this show makes a strong case for child abuse as a valid parenting strategy. Maybe not entirely successful, but valid.

I wasn’t surprised that Akira was alive either, but I was bitterly disappointed. It totally takes away from all the evil laughter I enjoyed last week. What is it with the drivers in that town? Is the speed limit like 3km/h or something? At least we got some safe evil chuckles this week with the whole Natsuko singing-after-hours scene. But did anyone else notice that she’s totally ripping off her moves from Krauser of DMC?

And I really hope that Rina is okay. If we don’t get our Rina/Yuki showdown I’m not going to be happy.

Man, who gets the back seat on the Touya-mobile now? I believe Haruka already called it, but let’s just pretend we didn’t hear her.

What was even the point of Touin anyway? She can’t interfere with Rina vs. Yuki now, although if she somehow stole the victory away from the two main idols I would punch a hole through my monitor.

I’m more interested in who’s calling shotgun. ;)

And I will be sitting well away from my monitor if we even get a hint of Touin. The way things are going though, I can see it playing out that way. :(

The heck, you blogging RAWS now Kabi-tan? I can’t find a sub out yet!

Gah, just realized episode 11 = episode 24. It’s numbering conventions like this that made me accidentally skip an episode of Asura Cryin’ Season 2 and had me all confused!

These subs are passable. Bu twe will have to wait for a more experienced group to take the time and do a more thorough job. The numbering system sucks, horriblesubs usually has a release the following saturday though, so just check their homepage (with the zoolander looped jitterbug video)

I usually wait, but Eiji doesn’t wait so why should I?

Ah man, too many things happened in the last two episodes. I’m going to get mad if the ex manager poisoned her before Rina gets a chance to battle Yuki. He doesn’t seem like he would have the balls to do that, so I’m going to say that Rina losing her voice. And that he saw some blood…maybe. Who knows, and wtf with Akira. All I wanted was for him to get punched in the face for being an @ss, I actually thought he died. Also I can’t believe how everyone in this series is connected. Menou and Mana holy crap, who would have guessed.

I want to know… what story did Tamaru want Misaki to write anyway? It seemed like it was exactly what he wanted, with a little dubbing thrown in extra. I can’t believe Hiiragi-san spent like 10 episodes harassing Yayoi, only to mistakenly sell her the negatives. She probably ripped him off, too!

YES. Good point! I assume Tamaru authorized the sex/delinquency scandal because it wouldnt ruin her career completely.

He probably wasn’t informed about the lipsyncing/credit thievery since he had left beforehand. That’s what I gathered, but you seem to pick up these subtle things better than me.

Haha, I wonder if you are the only one who liked his voice.

Touya may not remember Menou, but I’ll be damned if Yuki forgot her.

FRANKIE’S VOICE: judging by his mannerisms, i was definitely expecting a refined, melodious clear voice, not this “sodomite pirate from hell” that they’ve got going on.

I definitely thought there would be more about Touya’s past revealed by this point. And WTF was the neighbor doing when menou camped for touya?!

I loved the part where Eiji parted Yuki’s lips. Gotta check for gingivitis. In 1987, Gingivitis was more deadly than HIV and syphilis combined.

Yeah, I thought it was odd when Menou appeared with the neighbor. This isn’t the first time she’s been by… and was Natsuko not allowed in to the neighbor’s place?

Still don’t know what the deal is with those Touya crying flashbacks. The revelation better be good, but I’m not holding my breath.

Also, Eiji was probably just checking Yuki to make sure she didn’t get herpes from Touya.

It would be funny if Rina spit out that tea because she’s nauseous…. because…. she’s preggers.
