Tatakau Shisho: The Book of Bantorra 02

Summary:

On her tour, Ireia tells of how the Overseer of Alpha and Omega made the world and split himself up into three deities: Orntorra the overseer of life yet to come, Towitorra overseer of present life, and Bantorra overseer of past life.  The Armed Librarians safeguard the books kept in the underground labyrinth, and this involves beating up monsters just to file books.  Over at Toatt Mine, Armed Librarian Luimon is searching for more of Shiron’s book fragments and catches some old guy trying to sell unauthorized book fragments to Colio.  Realizing his time is short, Hyoue launches a Meat kamikaze attack and takes out Luimon (with some help from Segal) and also the random food cart guy, Carthelo Mashear.

Somehow this leads to Colio ending up with 2 extra Shiron fragments, one from Luimon and one from the book merchant.  Colio is resigned to being a Meat, but his other partner Relia attempts to ditch the job.  An encounter with Segal ends with Relia trying to blow Segal up, but Segal is unhurt.  Colio has some flashbacks of Shiron being guillotined and treating some kid while under the command of evil jester Wizakh.  A talk with Carthelo’s girlfriend Iea Mira makes Colio think he has to go save Shiron (even though she is already dead).  Meanwhile, Hamutz visits Toatt Mine to clean up Luimon’s mess.  Using her sperm attack to ping enemies on her HUD radar, Hamutz is able to use her wrist sling to snipe all the Meats from outside of town.

Reaction:

From these flashbacks, it looks like Wizakh coerced Shiron/Calico and then let her take the fall for his evil deeds.  I’m not sure where the story is going with this Colio falling in love with Shiron thing, since it would be hard to protect a dead woman.  Perhaps he is going to try to gather all the fragments of her book so that he can have an imaginary friend.  I’m also not quite sure how Segal fits in, since it looks like he has Shlamuffen which seems to reform its blade with each use.

As for Hamutz, she was awesome this episode.  It was so wrong when she told everyone that Luimon was at fault for being so weak, and then she started talking serious smack to Volken for being an idealistic baby.  In spite of Hamutz’s occasionally horrendous production values, Hamutz lived up to her status as supreme killing machine.  Being able to track all enemies and camp faaaaaar away with a concealable, accurate sniping weapon that can use any ammo is really overpowered, and it’s little wonder why she is the acting director.  I’d like to see her melee abilities, but I’d take her fighting and sewing skills over Volken’s idealism any day.

This show has more deaths than I was expecting… in this case it’s a good thing.

Lol I noticed that screen of Harmutz too. Her boobs grow bigger every episode :D .

Japanese think that the A-bomb was bad, but when Hamutz jumped out of the plane I realized the Double-D-bomb was much more fearsome.
