Banners Switched nama kofull

Even sea slugs can look cute sometimes

When the good artists open commission slots, you really have to pounce.  The very talented meago opened 5 slots on Saturday, and by the next day they were all filled.  Fortunately, I was able to get in line, and thus scored two very cute little chibi pieces of the SS!AB mascot, Nama-ko.  I was amazed at how quickly meago turned the art around.  I got a colored draft the next day and a finished piece a few hours later.  Wow!

Now that I’ve gotten 3 pieces of art, I’ve gone ahead and replaced the rotating anime series banners with Nama-ko banners.  I’ve got several other commissioned pieces in the works, and will be adding them to the lineup as they’re finished.  Hope you like the newest drawings!

Wow, look what you’ve done Epi! Authors are not supposed to comment next to each other when they have the same comment color! Now it looks like we’re being sandwiched by two incredibly sexy anime bloggers! =O… AND THEY’RE BOTH GUYS!! …. (not that I mind)

Also, nice gravatar =3 Very classic

Beware the dangers of having a mascot. If you’re not careful, people might start to think you’re Namako. I wasn’t always Baka-Raptor. For my first two years, I used a completely different name (which is now lost in time). But people started me calling Baka-Raptor anyway. I insisted I wasn’t Baka-Raptor, but they didn’t care. Things got out of control, and now I’m Baka-Raptor for good.

OMG really?! This is like one of those “it could never happen to me” things… until it does!

Looks great. Soon you’ll have a fan club, cult following, and people demanding more Namako at such a rapid pace that it will be impossible to keep up with their ever growing demands for Namako. After they will gather, enraged that more Namako merchandise and art is not being produced fast enough, and they will take to the streets! They will light torc–

Oh wait, this is supposed to be a positive post. Okay in all seriousness, I really love the new banner, it actually looks awesome. It will make all other bloggers jealous, and they will be enraged that you have Namako. They will take to the streets, and light torches, whilst they call on you to give Namako up to them! Then they will fight amongst themselves for the rights to Namako an–

I’m pretty much just entertaining myself with this comment. But the new banner looks great.

I’m truly not trying to be malicious.

But I disagree with the banner change.
And I also disagree that those banners are cute.

I agree that she gives off that “Nendoroid” feel.
But where chibi is great.
Nendoroid anything just looks creepy.

Please don’t take this offensively, but I get creeped out by looking at that bizarre version of Namako.

Do as you please.

Do not scorn Nama~chuu!

J/K to each their own. Wait until the UFO catcher doll version comes out! I’m already on the pre-order list!

I’ve taken down some of my old banners too. They used fanart whose artists I couldn’t trace and thus couldn’t credit properly. But I’m keeping the Lunamaria banner (precious giftart from Kabitzin and I’ve already forked out a small fortune for Tony Taka’s stuff) as well as the Tinkle banner (Stripey’s bought multiple copies of her artbooks).
