New 9rules Owners

by Kabitzin on August 27, 2009 in Random Stuff

I don’t know if anyone still cares about 9rules, but it sounds like they sold out.

Because of this we have decided to reach out to a company that knows a thing or two about blogs and could bring in a fresh new team of talent to take 9rules even further. Enter Splashpress Media.

Sounds good to me.  I’d rather another team step in than have 9rules rot away, especially considering there were barely any updates or improvements made this year.  The last few “improvements” like the forced participation and the wannabe social media add-on were really off-target, even though I bet they took a lot of effort and time to implement.  We only get a handful of visitors daily from 9rules, but every bit counts.  I hope the new team really improves the site so that we get more hits from being a part of 9rules.

One of the founders of Sea Slugs, I handle most of the blog admin tasks while wearing my I AM BOSS shirt. I like my action series well choreographed, and my romance series extra trashy. I also have a soft spot for puns.

Interesting. It seemed that after the social media direction, 9rules fizzled. I used to visit 9rules all the time, but I don’t think I’ve been there at all in 2009. I didn’t mind the changes they were making at all, but it really split the community and kind of tainted the mood. I wonder what slashpress will bring? I’m more interested in it as providing me with the 9rules I used to visited daily.

Retiring my badge, new leadership hasn’t done anything at all. I think the ship has sailed.
