Wow, thanks to all the readers who applied, and I was amazed at how many skillful writers were interested in a spot on the Sea Slugs team! I never thought I’d be able to get so many applications so quickly, but unfortunately there was only one spot available. I’ve got two new writers coming on board later this week, with one selected personally, and one selected from the many applications I received. I’ll leave their identities a mystery for now; it’s not for the tease factor, but rather so they can write their own intro posts. Please don’t feel bad if your application wasn’t accepted! I really enjoyed all the sample posts and apparently it is harder to get into SS!AB than most Ivy League colleges…

You definitely ought to take the deluge of applications as a compliment to both your administration of the site and to the entertaining commentary that you provide. I’m looking forward to seeing who made the cut, and to more SS!AB content, of course.

this is pretty exciting, can’t wait. It’s been a while since I actually thought of Sea Slugs as a team site. And Kadian1364 is right, your avatar is pretty much the ultimate Gattai.
