So much better than the free samples in the food court
So… if you’re in the market for your own mall in a ghost town, look no further.
Malls, those ubiquitous shopping meccas that sprang up in the 1950s, are dwindling in number, with many struggling properties reduced to largely vacant shells [...] But the long recession is helping to empty out the promenades. Some analysts estimate that the number of so-called “dead malls” — centers debilitated by anemic sales and high vacancy rates — will swell to more than 100 by the end of this year.
While the competition for the properties might not be stiff, keep in mind supplies are limited.
Developers, in fact, have been moving away from the enclosed-mall format in favor of big-box centers anchored by free-standing giants such as Wal-Mart or open-air shopping centers with tiny parks and outdoor cafes sprinkled among fashion stores. Only one enclosed mall has opened in the U.S. since 2006: The Mall at Turtle Creek in Jonesboro, Ark.
Uh oh, better call up Juiz and make it happen!

And here I was hoping this article was going to be about how to start up your own Indian sweat shop operation.
Or at least something related to Johnny snipping…
I thought the article was gonna be about NEETS signing up to be a blog member of Sea Slugs Team
…ERR.. I MEAN!!! *runs away*
Only 100? I’m surprised it would be that low.
As to building out-door malls, that sounds like it was written by someone who lives in Florida or San Diego. In places like Minneapolis or Chicago or Boston, you build enclosed because the weather is beastly most of the year, either too hot or too cold. Rain and snow in the winter.
Nobody would go to an outdoor mall in December in Minneapolis. It would be utter insanity.
What they need is an onmyoji savior Abenobashi-style!
LOL Zyl. Just be careful about hitting on that busty girl
