Summary:
Half-French Modern Japanese teacher, Father Kanae Touichirou is a popular fellow due to his good looks, but he spends most of his time in an unbreakable chain of internal monologues. Touichirou falls in love with both Mariya and Matsurika at first sight, but he isn’t attracted to Kanako because he prefers breasts he can palm (and he compares large jugs to white elephants and fifth wheels). However, mischievous Mariya uses the opportunity to trick Touichirou into annoying the hell out of Kanako.
Touichirou is initially worried about Kanako because she is the only student who failed her midterm. However, Mariya makes up a nonsensical lie about how Touichirou resembles Kanako’s (non-existent) deceased older brother, who suffered from Tchaikovsky syndrome in B-minor. Touichirou keeps trying to get close to Kanako, and even bribes Dorm Leader by buying the 50″ Pony Brapia HDTV and a DVD player she needs to watch a confiscated DVD. Unfortunately for Touichirou, the DVD ends up being as crappy as this episode, and Dorm Leader kicks Touichirou out before his 96 minutes are up. The episode finishes up with Touichirou falling in love with Ayari at first sight in spite of her breasts.
Reaction:
I’m not sure why I forgot to watch the last two episodes, but this was a fairly painful reintroduction to the series. You’d think Mariya and Matsurika getting more screen time would be a good thing, but Touichirou is so annoying that he makes Dorm Leader look hilarious in comparison. The monologues and musings really killed the pace of the episode, but at least it set up Matsurika’s Ghost in the Shell crack.
Everyone besides Touichirou was decent in this episode, and it was interesting to hear that Kanako is a middle child. I wonder if we will ever get to meet the unpopular oldest sister or the pampered younger sister. I also liked Mariya’s plan to use Toichirou to further torture Kanako and her 4 additional plans to use the naive Father, but Toichirou brought way more negatives than positives to this episode.

Yea, this episode sucked, and they had the nerve to show a Sony product! (at least they called it Pony. I love when studios replace the original with Pony or Fony =3). I would link to The Onion’s SPOSTDFW vid, but I don’t want to make this post anymore negative :love:
The one saving grace of Touichirou (aka Father Pedo Bear) is his impeccable taste in traps.
Lol it’s been a while… anyways Mariya and Dorm-leader were deliciously evil in this episode. Next time Dorm-leader sensei wants a real home theatre system (not theater in a box crap), a HD projector, and some nice chairs for her entertainment room.
