Summary:

We get a quick shot of Nozomi going to the mountains to look for Ouri, and then it’s on to Takamasa’s fight. While jiggling Itsuki’s boobs, Tomoharu asks how fellow-roadkill Itsuki is any different from him. It turns out that only hot young chicks can become SH, and Takamasa tells Itsuki to kill Tomoharu for even bringing up the idea of Shikabane Ouji (Prince). As Itsuki kills Tomoharu and goes half-shikabane again, Takamasa tells her she looks beautiful; Takamasa believes that being able to control and hide our desires is what makes us human.

The unnamed monks get their happiness sucked out in balloons by Touya, and Ouri goes off to find Makina. Makina is hiding from the Keisei-faced Ena, so Ouri finds her and tells her that it’s ok if she keeps her connection with Keisei. They’ll just keep it a secret, and they are united in their love of Keisei. Ouri was able to hurt Ena, but Ena comes back with an army of Keisei clones. Ouri wants to handle this alone, however, so that Sadahiro and Makina will not have memories of killing Keisei.

Reaction:

Ouri must have been able to track Makina down by following the light of their connection (right in front of Nozomi). Ouri’s speech about the En with Keisei not being a curse was pretty awesome, but doesn’t that mean that Ouri is spooning Keisei every time he recharges Makina? Takamasa’s speech was not nearly as good, and I suspect the secret desire he hides is that he wants to bone Itsuki even more when she is in her ugly half-shikabane form.

This episode seemed to confirm that Ena is a guy who keeps moving from body to body to evolve beautifully. It was kinda funny that the Kougon Cult can only make young women into SH, and this must be Akasha’s secret — he learned that if you fall in love with your SH, she will stay young and as you grow older everyone will think that you are a pedophile. I guess this is why Rika got the youngest-looking SH, even though it meant giving up all the symmetrical docking opportunities.
