Go long, Fukasaku!

Go long, Fukasaku!

Naruto’s out of sage mojo, but he mentions he can still do four more rasenshurikens. How? Our little planner Naruto already tasked two kage bunshin clones with sitting at Myobokuzan while calmly gathering sage chakra. The scroll that Naruto wears is a reverse-summoning scroll, so while Gamabunta and Naruto go hand-to-hand against God Realm, Fukusaku does the reverse-summoning and brings back one kage bunshin.

Back in Sage Mode, Naruto knocks God Realm down with a kick and prepares to finish him off with a rasenshuriken. Unfortunately, while Gamaken and Gamahiro were standing around watching Gamabunta actually help out, Hell Realm resurrected Hungry Ghost Realm. Ugh, good help is so hard to summon these days.

Naruto and Katsuyu have no choice but to come up with a different plan on the fly. A smoke bomb is dropped and a rasenshuriken is thrown right at Hungry Ghost Realm. In an interesting twist (ripped off from Sasuke), the rasenshuriken is actually a henge which turns back into the real Naruto as soon as it gets close to Hungry Ghost Realm. Naruto then sacks Hungry Ghost Realm for a loss of 10 yards.

Glomped!

Glomped!

With Hungry Ghost Realm snuggling close to him, Naruto explains there is nowhere to run as the real rasenshuriken flies right at God Realm. God Realm is not concerned, however, since his strength has returned and he easily repels the rasenshuriken. Too bad for God Realm the whole thing was just a huge feint and a kage bunshin drops out of the sky and takes out Hell Realm.

Who knew that Naruto was such a impressive planner? He’s always been kinda cunning, but the foresight to leave behind two kage bunshin clones was brilliant. This does bring up a few questions about the mechanics of kage bunshin no jutsu. I thought that chakra was split evenly between clones, which would have made Naruto’s solution pointless, but perhaps the even split only applies to clones that are near each other.

It’s surprising that Naruto can maintain clones that far away, but the sudden re-power-up was really cool. If those two large frogs had actually flanked God Realm to take out Hell Realm before God Realm recharged, this fight would be over. God Realm would have eaten a rasenshuriken and Hungry Ghost Realm probably would have died again from a single punch. I wonder if Naruto will need his last infusion against God Realm, since we have yet to see the real Pain. God Realm should be a tough opponent if he can use his gigantic gravity attack again and I’m very happy with how this battle is going so far.

I guess sage chakra is different from normal chakra, so Naruto can use Kage Bunshins to store them. I think regular chakra is split evenly between clones (or at least that’s the way I remembered it).

Yeah, the big frogs could have done something while Naruto was attacking, but maybe they are too slow.

I think Kage Bunshin only splits the chakra evenly when they are first created. Therefore, storing up more energy on the clones does not automatically spreads to the others until the clone is released.

It kinda struck me while reading this chapter that Naruto vs Pain is a real interesting match. On one side you have the 6 Pains where none of them is the real body and on the other you have Naruto and his infinite clones. It’s a match of both quantity and quality between 2 shinobi.

On a side note, Naruto should have left an army of clones back at Myobokuzan instead of just 2…

Well you have to have a specific ratio of normal and sage and one other kind of chakra, so if you have less normal chakra you cannot store as much sage chakra.

I always got the feeling that most of the large frogs are kinda stupid.

he probably would have made more clones if were possible, and if he had enough energy to do so. and if u had of read the chapter thoroughly, u would have seen they mention why he could not. it is very difficult to gather sage chakra period. the fact that naruto managed to do that, and had his 2 clones do it also (at the same time) is very meraculous! and yea tha giant frogz r idiots.
