It's sad how Shizuru has pretty much replaced Kyouko
Surprisingly, Setsuna suggests Kagura’s team all take a sesshouseki and challenge her in Lord Tamamo’s garden. Setsuna needs to have all the sesshouseki and demonstrate her power to Lord Tamamo anyway, and she doesn’t fear Kagura’s group. The team has until the Agency Elders show up and a war against Juugondou zombie soldiers begins.
Kyouko introduces imouto moe in an effort to get more attention
Shizuru goes first trying to use flashbacks and the sisterly-bond to reach Setsuna. Setsuna just laughs and breaks her sister’s right arm. Ever since finding the Satori Eye in the Tibetan temple, Setsuna has been alone (and changed, similar to Yomi).
Kensuke suddenly realizes that only 9 sesshouseki are present, and Setsuna reveals that there is one associated with Byakuei. No one was ever able to find where the stone was, which is why Tsuchimiya family had to use their own bodies to seal Byakuei. With all 10 stones gathered, the resonance should reveal Byakuei’s sesshouseki. Byakuei goes out of control trying to return to the Kyuubi, and Setsuna offers up Shizuru as a snack.

In fact, allowing herself to be taken into the garden was all part of Setsuna’s plan to draw out Byakuei and capture all 10 stones in one stroke. Kagura is not ruthless enough to have Byakuei devour Setsuna while Shizuru is being held hostage. In the moment of hesitation, Setsuna is able to locate the last sesshouseki and pluck it out of Kagura’s chest.
So she summons Byakuei with a breast implant?
What a strategy! I feel like I just watched someone shoot the moon and none of the other players could prevent it. I know Byakuei is different from other spiritual beasts because of the connection to Kagura’s soul, but will Kagura be able to control him without the sesshouseki? Shizuru did it so there may be hope, but I have a feeling that Kazuhiro is going to first betray Setsuna, and then the rest of Kagura’s group.
