Summary:
It’s flashback time again, and we get a short scene from 12 years ago of Hiroshi asking Michiko for a picture and then taking a picture together with a shy Michiko. We then go back 25 years ago to when Hiroshi met Satoshi. Hiroshi was something of a garbage collector and let Satoshi hide in the garbage to escape pursuers. They became friends, and when Satoshi got caught trying to kill gang boss Manabe, Hiroshi went in alone to save him. Unfortunately, Satoshi later killed all the Monstro executives, framed Phantasma to weaken both organizations, and sent Satoshi off on a wild goose chase to find Cyril (whom Satoshi had already killed).
Back in the present, Satoshi kills Manabe in revenge, and finds that Shinsuke gave Michiko a gun with one bullet. Satoshi kicks away the gun when she tries to shoot him, but upon seeing her desperation he admits he does not know where Hiroshi is. When Atsuko comes to collect Michiko, it turns out that Ricardo went over her afro and called in the local police as backup. However, Atsuko lets Michiko go, and Satoshi escapes by killing all the policemen chasing him.
Reaction:
The flashbacks of Hiroshi were pretty meaty this time, as we see that Hiroshi had that L.B.D.D. feather tattoo even as a youngster. Young Hiroshi also looked a lot like post-haircut Hatchin. I also liked seeing young Atsuko rising up in the ranks and trying to take Michiko in for questioning. It seems like their friendships from a young age really stood the tests of time and vicious beatings. Satoshi’s “The Electric Bermuda Triangle” plan to take over Monstro was very good, but I was dismayed over his obsession with young boys’ pubic hair.
The police said they had Satoshi surrounded, but they only surrounded the front half of the house! I found it interesting that Satoshi seems to be the only person in this show who can shoot straight, and I laughed when Atsuko reached into the trunk and pulled out her… crossbow. It’s too bad Ricardo had to pull the gender card and mess everything up for her. I wonder where Michiko is going to go now, since she has no idea where Hiroshi is and Hatchin is off with the circus.
