I’m trying out the Yet Another Related Posts Plugin (YARPP) on the site. I like that this one uses both tags and categories, and even gives you a decent amount of control over the algorithm. I know this adds to the length and puts even more information at the bottom of the post, but hopefully readers will find it useful. Quite a few readers at SS!AB arrive from Google, so rather than make them search our unwieldy Category list (about to break 100!), I decided to add a plugin to do some of the work for them.

I like related posts features because categories and tags just aren’t eye-catchingly descriptive. Sometimes, the title is the best tool to draw reader attention.
