Summary:
Louise dreams that she lost her Void power and wakes up and finds she lost her Void power. She then wisely decides to subtly experiment casting Explosion in the woods, but it doesn’t work. This causes a crisis of faith, and Louise can only seethe jealously as Tabitha gives Saito reading lessons. Still, the gang is near the border, so things are looking good.
At the last second, Jormungandr (a square-class golem with auto-Counter) drops from the sky as Sheffield tries to bait Louise into blasting the golem. The Ostland shows up with a German 88 (hat tip to Shance), and Tabitha kisses Saito to piss off Louise and restore her Void magic. A quick Dispel is cast on the ammo, and down goes the Jormungandr. Everyone is happy (even Joseph and Sheffield who somehow escaped), and Henrietta makes Louise her sister and second successor to the throne.
Reaction:
All I can say about this episode is WTF?! ZnT does more circles than Code Geass, and I feel like things are constantly resetting. Why in the world did Louise lose her Void power? How does Julio have a flak cannon? The fake suspense was so dumb, and not nearly as good as last season’s ending. The only part I liked was at the end when the bitch squad jealously watched Siesta and Tifa dock while Scarron made his move on Osman.
It’s too bad we didn’t get more Tabitha at the beginning. Tabitha really stays one step ahead of Louise at all times, although Saito seems to have pretty much zero chemistry with the little princess. Did anything even happen this season? The whole conflict with Joseph was just one big experiment, so I guess he’ll try to kidnap Louise again and again next season. Good luck Team Rocket Gallia.

I miss that sexy elf dude, I expected him to be Tifa’s long lost brother or something. And here I was thinking he may have been intergral to the plot being the only other elf.
