Summary:
Although they saved Ayumu Fujiwara last time, they still never got Bob out. Bob’s sleazy looking buddy (Jenin En) asks specifically for Masamichi this time, because Bob is into some seriously freaky stuff. With all the possibilities that exist in the Metal, most dudes are still just going in looking to get their rocks off. Bob’s a huge contributor to the Artificial Island, so even though he likes to pretend he is a chick so that he can get a 300% pleasure proc upon climaxing, Masamichi still has to save him.
Fortunately, Masamichi isn’t going in blind. Holon warps to Souta to keep him safe from random thugs in the red light district of Hanamichi and Souta interrogates the programmer who sold the trap Metal avatar to Bob. When Minamo heads back to call out to Masamichi and keep him grounded, Souta finds that Bob got caught during the power outage in a death-gasm experience. Masamichi is already getting sucked in, but the sound of Minamo’s voice reminds Masamichi that he is way too old for this kinda kinky stuff, and so he grabs the fat dude and escapes.
Reaction:
With all these storms coming in, a lot of people have been going brain-down in their embarrassing fantasies. Suddenly it becomes clear why Eiichiro had to hire someone really really old who wouldn’t succumb to lust on every dive. It was admirable how Bob sought to hide his crazy fantasy under a wholesome beach volleyball scene, but Masamichi was a young guy once, too. Once again Masamichi and Minamo made an awesome team.
Meanwhile, everyone continues to baby Minamo and not tell her information about the birds and the bees. One day Souta is going to come home to find Minamo sweating buckets while her clunky helmet displays huffing/puffing ASCII faces and he will know that his young sister has grown up. Er, on a different note, Holon really should have followed the roundhouse to the SMG-thug with a spinning backfist to the face of Thug2. SMG-thug was already disarmed and knocked out before the ax kick, although it was funny watching Holon’s fluids drip onto the face of the unconscious Thug2.

Don’t worry about Holon! It’s just fat wound. Maybe that fluid was collagen? Anyway, this episode finally explained why so many guys have female avatars. Is it really that good?

Why do you call him Masamichi? Everyone else calls him Haru.
I like how Minamo continues to be the innocent foil for the depraved Metal world, although at 15 I think most kids have some idea of what an orgasm is… Regardless, if she wasn’t there to rep purity, she couldn’t have saved Haru.
Chris: Masamichi is Haru’s first name, and I always try to refer to characters by their first names (because I am a rude foreigner). BTW, Chris I am mad you put episode 3 as the cutoff episode to like RD, because if I had given up, I would have missed out on the dude who wants to be a chick having a deathgasm!!!
