Kamen no Maid Guy 03

Kabitzin on April 29, 2008 · in Kamen no Maid Guy

Summary:

Naeka gets a love letter, but because of a bad experience in her past, she is afraid to love. Naeka’s terrible cooking drove her crush away and earned her the nickname “Poison Woman.” Since Kogarashi believes he has to protect the entire Fujiwara bloodline, he decides to help Naeka get freaky. He gives her a zero-calorie potion that arouses tremendous feelings of yuri-maid longing, but Fubuki nixes the plan before Zyl can fetch his video camera.

Fubuki cures Naeka’s fear of love by teaching Naeka to cook. With the trauma behind her, Naeka is eager to meet her suitor, but is surprised to find that it is a fangirl with green hair and glasses. As we all know, kendo also brings out yuri longing, so Kogarashi dumps the lovers into a special lovu lovu pit he had prepared beforehand.

Reaction:

Kousuke had a bigger role this episode, and I think he did a great job with his screen time. I laughed while he was weeping about how forlorn he was when getting the bad ending, and I enjoyed his approval of Fubuki x Naeka. Kogarashi also proved to be very tolerant of this modern era. I don’t think we got a name for lovergirl, though.

I also enjoyed all the Maid Guy abilities, such as Maid Guy shredder. Kogarashi is like a Swiss Army Knife, only better and more burly. He is capable of learning too, as seen when Kogarashi made sure to make his love potion fat-free. I feel he is sensitive to women’s feelings, although he tends not to beat around the bush very much. Sometimes everyone needs a dose of brutal honesty (and yuri).

I second Zyl’s quote selection and comment.

I third it, and maybe I should become an apprentice to Zyl under this regard now that I think of it. :P

I wish we got to see more of the love scene at the end though. And Fubuki’s brutality in escaping from an equally awesome scene earlier in the show. :3

I feel like they’re totally underusing Kogarashi here. But now I’m starting to think that he’s just too awesome for the show to handle. :)

And, thus, the NEEDZ MOAR YURI Alliance was formed!

Zyl, have you been watching this show? This episode seemed right up your alley.

Kogarashi didn’t do much this episode, but sometimes the star has to trust his teammates! I think everyone stepped up and pitched in, even the grandpa.

Any maid that can withstand multiple knitting needles to the eardrum and still have time to set up a trapdoor-yuri-lovenest is maid enough for me. His laugh gets me every time, like he’s not actually laughing, just saying “KE KE KE” like he’s reading it.

I just like myself a good Maid Guy beating now and then too. Oh, and don’t eat the lunch.

Actually, he wasn’t being more sensitive – he was just trying to lure her into drinking it, by promising her that it had no calories. Given her sensitivity about her weight and all… even if it’s going into what most perverts (most of whom who are men, outside of that Impz-alike on screen) would agree are the best spots.

I just find it kind of wrong that Fubuki suddenly became the most attractive female in the show to me, after seeing her in that Higurashi-like scene… complete with bloody nail-filled bat. Yandere meido, yandere Meltlandi… there’s definitely a trend, and not a good one.

But she was… much… much more attractive after seeing her turn the house into a nightmare zone. Yes, I’m broken… but not as broken as Jason Miao.

I still don’t understand why Haesslich doesn’t just setup a blog regarding his views. I’d definitely enjoy it. :P

Because I’m too lazy to constantly post about episodes, and prefer to razz other bloggers. And my blog would be too much like the unholy love spawn of Kurogane’s blog with Derailed by Darry. Except without the American sports references.

Or maybe it’d be like Hontou ni so Omou, but with less Zaku and more shoujo. Actually, come to think of it, it’d be like a mini-Antenna.animeblogger.net, style-wise.
