Summary:

Marjorie lies on the floor spazzing and puking blood, as Alastor and Dantalion have a boring conversation. Kazumi briefly considers using the Giralda, but her agent tells her not to because there will probably be a third season. Meanwhile, Wilhelmina and Shana realize that they can sorta use the Gou no Ritsuzou as a hostage, but that doesn’t really help them stop the birth of the powerful Tomogara.

While Wilhelmina is left to tank Sydonai, Hecate, and some angry anti-abortion protesters, Shana finds Yuuji and they break into the control room. Silver seems to be adequate as a guard, but unfortunately Hecate is controlling the knockoff Silver. The heat-vision of a flying Shana reminds Hecate of those birds, and Hecate forgets all of her hotkeys for controlling Silver. Shana is able to sever the link between the Reiji Maigo and the now-winged Gou no Ritsuzou, and Yuuji surgically removes the Reiji Maigo. With that out of the way, Yuuji goes back to what he was doing, and it sure looks like he chose Shana over Kazumi.

Reaction:

I enjoyed how after Hecate was able to get Yuuji in the sack last season, she decided he was useless and should be thrown away. Unfortunately, when the game is on the line, Hecate is the absolute opposite of clutch; Hecate is like the anime version of Alex Rodriguez. However, Bel Peol didn’t seem too concerned about Hecate failing again and crying true tears, so I guess this was but a step in the grand scheme. After all, Bel Peol didn’t even bother leaving Seirei Den, so it couldn’t have been that important to her. I wonder what all these feints have been leading up to, since she keeps putting Yuuji in pinches and then letting him go.

Marjorie got completely screwed this season, but at least she has her Silver-rage under control. However, with the decline of Marjorie came the meteoric rise of Wilhelmina who even unveiled a purple flaming bandage sword this time. I think Wilhelmina and Sydonai have been putting in some serious training time in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, since they have both leveled up greatly. The only thing left to see is how the crew is going to get the Reiji Maigo back inside Yuuji. I guess it’s worth seeing if Ike can grab Kazumi off waivers, but I don’t think any of us are expecting him to succeed.

Wilhelmina Wails On Her Bandage Guitar

Shouldn’t it be her Bandage Banjo? ;)

And I’d be relaxed if I were Bel Peol too, with the Sabrac hack, the Balle Masque can get the Reiji Maigo anytime it seems. Yuuji has really got to get the Keeper on the RM fixed otherwise he’ll be losers weepers again.

Wilhelmina made so many bandage shields for herself that it troubles me how she did not make a bandage shield for Marjorie. Yuuji’s Reiji Maigo Keeper is like a antivirus program that hasn’t been updated in a year.

Wilhelmina got so much battling time this season, and she had all the coolest moves. I wonder if she will be this dominant again next season.

More importantly, will Wilhelmina finally be able to get some nookie from Pheles in season three!?

I dug all the Wilhelmina for sure, but I do want to see more from my drunken master Marjorie next season.

Either way, nice satisfying end to the series.

Or anyone for that matter. I want to see a spinoff where Marjorie sets Wilhelmina up on blind dates, but Wilhelmina keeps trying to skip out early to spy on Shana.

Actually Bel Peol’s weird sculpture reminded me more of a furry version of Bernini’s Rape of Proserpina.

Majorie’s blind dates for Wirhelmina – sounds like a promising reality TV show! With live commentary from Tiamat.
