Appleseed Ex Machina Screenings and Giveaway appleseed screening

I always appreciate being contacted to help promote anime events, especially when there are prizes available. First things first, leave a comment telling us “How many arms should an ideal mech have and why?” so that I can randomly select a winner to receive a free DVD copy of Appleseed Ex Machina. As for screening details,

Times:
Friday night (Technically 3/8/2008 at 0:00 AM)
Saturday night (Technically 3/9/2008 at 0:00 AM)

Location:
IFC Center
323 Avenue of the Americas
New York, NY 10014
(212) 924-7771

I think this movie could be really awesome on the big screen, so if you go to the screening, please let us know how it was!

Edit: Grats to TheBigN for winning the DVD!

The ideal amount is obviously two, since mechas are an extention of human soul!!!

Four

Two that can be controlled by wire by the pilot for dangerous tasks, then two that are robotic exoskeletons for tasks that require low latency and fine motor control.

Two for balance and stability.

On a sidenote, Deunan’s formal hat thing is so silly looking.

6

Two for swinging/grappling and other normal arm movement
Two for shooting while swinging/grappling
Two for carrying something while shooting and swinging/grappling

If a grappler ship is fine with just two arms, I don’t see why a mecha wouldn’t be. :P

Two, so that it can do Kendo; because if there is one thing that Bleach-manga fans and Bamboo Blade fans have found out, Kendo is instant winner.

Cheers.

a MECH should have 0 or 4.
0 – weapons attached to body
4 – for gangsta-styele quadwielding belt-fed SMG’s

a MECHA, however, 2, as a Mecha is a humanoid shape, (almost) by definition.
wings are always a +.

Two of course! Anything less would be uncivilized.
