Shinichiro thinks about it some more and realizes that, “We might be related,” is an awesome way to reject/dump someone. With Hiromi out of his thoughts, he realizes that he might have some feelings for Noe. Noe suspects that Hiromi is to blame for Shinichiro’s moodiness, and tries to give Hiromi a bento that has been infected with bird flu. There is a cat fight, and Noe yells at Shinichiro for hiding so much from her. Shinichiro, however, turns the heat on her and asks Noe if she likes him romantically.

While Ai and Shinichiro are walking back from dance practice, Jun drives up and tells Shinichiro to go out with Noe or else he will knock Hiromi up and then break up with her on Christmas. Shinichiro realizes what he has to do, and asks Noe out, and even writes his confession with stones and Noe’s mittens. Over on the Ai front, Ai tries to tell Miyokichi everything, but he doesn’t want to hear it because he thinks Shinichiro is so cool that it won’t be so bad if he has to share Ai with his best friend. When Ai hears that Shinichiro is really going out with Noe, however, she makes her move by throwing a towel at Shinichiro to distract him, and then stealing a kiss.

It’s interesting how pent up sexual tension will inspire people to perform up to their potential. Hiromi’s basketball game has really improved, Noe is cooking all the time now, Ai is knitting sweaters, and Shinichiro is dancing like a champ. I was disappointed that Hiromi couldn’t fend off little Noe, but Shinichiro showed off some really impressive wrist-grabbing speed. Back at the house, Nakagami-okasan managed to not call Hiromi a skank for once, and no one will tell Nakagami-otosan what is going on.

Ai’s move was quite bold, but she is about 1 year too late. The horrified look on Shinichiro’s face doesn’t bode too well for her. While I am still supporting Hiromi, Noe and Shinichiro seem like the best pair, even if Shinichiro has to convince himself that he has feelings for Noe. However, will this turn into a classic chick flick because of the agreement that Shinichiro has with Jun? It’s implied that Noe knows, but that would be such a perfect setup.

Noe x Shin-chan Forever! Hiromi should stick with Jun at least he can keep her out of trouble and reasonably well behaved. Look what Shin-chan did he’s the reason they’re fighting… T_T

“no one will tell Nakagami-otosan what is going on.”

I’m really looking forward to when that happens. It seems like he has a lot to get off this chest, despite how his face always seems buried in something else.

And I also want Shin x Noe, but I don’t think the powers that be in anime will let that happen. And I also think Shin waffles too much. :3

Crusader: Well, can you really blame Shinichiro for causing that fight? I think Noe and Hiromi just seem like oil and water. That fight was pretty pathetic overall, though, especially with the groupies gathered around doing nothing. I do wonder if Jun will warm up to Hiromi, but he only seems to really care about Noe at this point.

Usagijen: Yes, mwahahaha give in to your dark side and embrace the sadness! I like dorama and basketball, so is there any question why I support Hiromi? I just want her to get more screentime, even if she doesn’t get Shinichiro in the end.

TheBigN: Shinichiro’s dad really does seem surprisingly calm, considering the situation. That is what makes me wonder about the validity of Nakagami-okasan’s claim about Hiromi’s true father. I also think Shinichiro is doing pretty well, and his wafflage is within acceptable limits.

At this rate Hiromi will end up in the WNBA before she hooks up Shinichiro. Be very worried when she breaks-out the teardrop.
