Just before Morimoto and Meguimi were about to be shadow pulled by some gang members, boom goes the dynamite and the karaoke bar rumbles, sending Shin and Takuro out to see what happens. They rush to the site of the boom to discover everybody mostly knocked out, but someone’s body ended up turned inside out. The police rushed quickly to the scene, and Chief Itoh questioned Morimoto, Takuro, and Shin about the events. Takuro and Shin basically have no idea what’s going on, and Morimoto seemingly was out cold before the boom and woke up after the boom. After the questioning was finished, the three were thinking of heading to the hospital to see Megumi when Ryou suddenly steps in and takes Shin off to the side. Ryou first tells Shin that he needs to leave the city, and then tells Chief Itoh that all data on this case belongs to him.
Later that evening, Ryou is talking to his superiors when he gets a phone call from an unexpected source who claims to have some useful information for him concerning the list of students that he has. Meanwhile, Chief Itoh, who has been holding a grudge against Ryou for being so secretive about the case, decides to take matters into his own hands and meets up with Shin the next day to tell him to gather some information from Ryou’s computer.
Both Ryou and Shin end up meeting some members of the gang known as the Marebite, who for some reason seem interested in collecting up the various personas from the students on Ryou’s list. One part of the group asks Ryou to join the Marebite, but Ryou remains loyal to his superiors. Meanwhile, Shin gets ambushed by other members of the Marebite on his way back to Ryou’s house after talking to Itoh. Personas are released and mass chaos ensues in both meetings, but the Kanzato brothers emerge victorious. Shin frantically runs back to Ryou’s house feeling like OMGWTF is going on, and wanting some answers, he decides to take Itoh up on his offer and hacks into Ryou’s computer to grab the list of students that Itoh was asking for.
So now, Morimoto becomes a bit more suspicious since she had no idea what happened in the karaoke boom. I’m still curious to see why some people have Personas and what the true purpose of Marebite and Ryou really are.

Man, that guy was chomping pills like a fiend, and he still couldn’t get his persona to come out again. I was reminded of those, “When the time is right, will you be ready?” commercials =D.
I can’t believe Ryou reused his door code for his computer password! That reminds me of all those old action flicks where the villain uses a painfully obvious password that the hero figures out in no time. I guess in modern flicks they “hack” the computer by overloading the system with excessively noisy speed-typing.
