Kenzaburo wants to have the practice match next week, and Toraji doesn’t bother telling him that he only has four members. Trying to outwit Kenzaburo is like trying to outwit Totali, but the goal is to match your strong members up against the opponent’s weak members. The match-ups are as follows:

1. Strong and energetic Yoko Maya vs. Blade Braver who is really just Kawazoe Tamaki
2. Sadistic and strange Ando Yuri vs. Second is the new first Chiba Kirino
3. Paper tiger (and scaredy cat) Nishiyama Karen vs. You better win Kuwahara Sayako
4. Happily in love Asakawa Akemi vs. Black Miyazaki Miyako
5. Dutiful manager Harada Konatsu vs. Half-strength, I can’t believe it’s not butter Kawazoe Tamaki

Kenzaburo is nearly 3 hours late to the match, because he has to track down his team and feed Yuri. During this time, Toraji takes a nap and the kendo team asks Tamaki to teach the basics of footwork (while Sayako and Kirino marvel at how elegant and cute she is). At long last the match starts, and Tamaki gets the party started by headshotting Konatsu.

It’s fun watching how happy Kirino is now that the club is active again. It looks like the practice match will hinge on Tamaki’s success, but it shouldn’t be a problem considering that Tamaki can work Yuuji and Sayako to the point of despair. Tamaki makes an excellent teacher, unlike that bum Toraji, but Toraji does give an effective demonstration on conserving energy by hibernating.

I really like Kirino and Sayako, even if Tamaki is the star of the team. The two of them fixing Tamaki’s hair into twintails was really cute, and I hope they can each win their matches next episode. I figure Kirino will have success, but with Sayako you just never know.
