Spam Plugin News

Bad Behavior: Get version 2.0.11 now. The RBL that Bad Behavior uses started giving out tons of false positives 2 days ago, so many users found themselves blocked from their own site.

Spam Karma 2: Looks like SK2 is going to declare Akismet as the winner of the spam plugin battle. After the next compatibility patch, it looks like support for SK2 will gradually die off. I suspected as much, and switched over recently. It’s too bad, because I preferred SK2′s approach to Akismet’s. Also, Akismet (so far) gives a lot of false positives, and there is no way for commenters to rescue their comments with anything like a CAPTCHA.

I am thinking yes, since your comment went to moderation instead of being outright deleted as spam by Akismet. Although Akismet is doing great at filtering these splogger trackbacks/pingbacks, the sheer number of false positives is really alarming (probably 15%).
