We get a flashback of when Vernhardt used Tsuo Rin to summon a demon, and she got tentacled to death right in front of Kazuma. Back in the present, Pandemonium is lighting up, and is filled with tons of yellow crystals. It turns out that the whole RPG plot was Almagest’s plan to create an evolved human by mixing demons and dorky humans. As a side bonus, they’re also going to summon Belial for a few seconds to blow up Tokyo, just because they can. Lapis hopes that she’ll really enjoy the carnage and this will enable her to grow a soul.
With Belial’s manicured hand starting to appear from the portal, Kazuma, Ren, and Ayano charge up their different colored flames, and use the cheesy attack to contain Belial. They succeed, but Kazuma is now exhausted and it turns out that that soulless bitch Lapis was lying about Vernhardt’s departure. Fortunately, Genma is camping above the crater, and Vernhardt decides to retreat (but not before Lapis tells Kazuma that Tsuo Rin’s last thoughts were, “I want to kill you”). Back at the Kannagi residence, Kazuma finally acknowledges Ayano as a partner by giving her a patt on the butt.
Well the painful ride comes to an end, but I do have to say that the last two episodes were decent. There were a lot of unintentionally funny moments like how Vernhardt inexplicably dressed Yukari up as a maid, or when Lapis chopped the crystallized Utsumi in half. I was also amused by how Vernhardt had to strip Tsuo Rin naked and have her tentacled; everyone else just got absorbed, clothes and all. I have to say I’m really skeptical about the data that Almagest gathered from their experiment, and I think their sample size is too small to accurately represent the population. They are going to spend a lot of time and energy making these homo superior only to find that the only thing the specimens are good at is bitching and crying on forums. QQ some more n00bs.
I didn’t care too much for the containment of Belial, as the colored cheese was just too much. Why did they even bother bringing Ren along; just how weak are the other members of the Kannagi family? You’d think that if they just brought along a few more members, they could have destroyed Vernhardt. It’s no wonder Juugo is in such a rush to make Kazuma his prize stud. If Kazuma does end up marrying Ayano and having kids, Juugo will probably start encouraging Kazuma to cheat on Ayano so that the Kannagi clan can have some more diverse and powerful members. The only thing better than pimping out your own daughter is pimping out your own cousin’s daughter. It’s good to be the head of the main family.

“Juugo will probably start encouraging Kazuma to cheat on Ayano so that the Kannagi clan can have some more diverse and powerful members.”
ROFLMAO.
But sometimes I think that Kaze no Stigma would have been a lot better if it was purely a “Pimp My Daughter” show. Well at least the hell ride is over.
Yeah, thank god. I can’t imagine them scraping together enough money to make another season of this crap.
ROFLMAO. I love KnS, but obviously, not the anime :p I believe my love for Kazuma x Ayano (and some help from the manga and novels) is what made my survive watching this entire series. Honestly, I enjoy reading the short stories better than the main arc (with all the serious battles) because that’s supposed to be where it’s good at. Providing entertainment with the antics and interaction of the characters.
The main plot and action just… fails. Here’s to hoping that the manga will really make a major overhaul to fix that. The manga seems to be heading towards that direction, so I hope it won’t disappoint.
“It could have been better” is what I would say, but most of the show was….ok. Most of the Ayano moments were great so it’s not a complete loss.
