Zombie Loan 11 (Final)

Chika busts in, but since Shito won’t call him by his first name, Chika just grabs his hand and leaves Shito there. Eventually, plushie-Zarame frees Shito, and the group goes on to face the TomSawyer golem. Chika almost goes over the edge, but allows Shito to save him, after Shito finally calls Chika by his first name. Surprisingly, the golem falls over, and Nogi reveals that the golems cannot make their own proteins. Without a special amino acid, they lose control and become corpses again.

However, the docs have created an “ultimate” golem named Phalanx. It has no brain, and it cannot maintain the unity of its organs, but it can sense organisms and absorb their protein. Dr. Yoshizumi uses his own body to act as the control center, and puts in a vial that he presumably got from Carmella. Phalanx begins to absorb GolemGirl too, but Otsu backstabs Phalanx with a neutralizing agent that Nogi created as a fallback plan. The bounty’s great, and Shito wants to cast GolemGirl as the star in his new high school romance series, but Nogi hates that genre and shoots GolemGirl in the head. Too bad, so much for Zombie Loan Fumoffu. Oh yeah, Bekko reveals his classic chick-flick makeover (take off glasses, let down hair, get new clothes), and mentions that he is an officer in WFO.

I can’t believe this was the last episode, and of course most of the loose ends weren’t wrapped up. With that said, this episode was pretty awesome, and extremely funny. That Nogi guy is one of those jerks who can’t stand to see anyone happy; man, he tries to ruin everybody’s plans! I also can’t believe that the “ultimate golem” was a pile of rubble with green arms and some eyes. Lame. No wonder Dr. Yoshizumi couldn’t get any other funding. There were a lot of cool moments, though, like when Chika let Shito save him, when Michiru tried to help fight, and when Asou told Phalanx that he was the one who did the eating.

Shito had some really good screen time, and I was moved by his connection with GolemGirl. We never even learned her name, and Shito can’t believe it. I really felt for him when he was combing her hair and telling her that they would have this great life together, only to have Nogi headshot her. Damn, Otsu should have backstabbed Nogi with a Chidori when he had the chance. Also, why couldn’t Bekko or Yuuta have just patched GolemGirl back together? Golems deserve high-interest loans, too!

Hmm…Even though I was the one pimping this out before the summer season began I dropped this after episode 6. Looking at this entry, I’m glad I did. It all seems so lame to me no offense.

Oh man I lol’d at the summary. Nogi was just trying to get the high score! Also, casting golem girl as the lead in a high school romance? …would totally be an awesome idea. Kuse can have a weird werewolf boy but Shito can’t have a girlfriend? Lame!

I really can’t believe they wouldn’t let Shito have GolemGirl. I mean, the series ended in 11 episodes, and nothing got wrapped up, so what is wrong with Shito getting a little friend? Can you imagine how awesome that girl would have been, under Shito’s supervision? Looking at Shito’s room, I am sure that GolemGirl would have been totally weird and amazing, especially if she went around trying to steal people’s amino acids. She could even have made some childhood promise with TeenWolf. I cry at the lost potential.

I can see why she had to die, she wasn’t alive so she would never have changed and as a golem she would of eventually stopped moving. I don’t think that even the ferryman would of been able to help them. So if she didn’t die, it’d just drag on until she did finally stop working and it’d be sad without anyone else to blame.

What was the deal with the Grim Reaper? I mean, come on, why the heck would they start another huge mystery at the end of the series?

The ending made it seem like Zarame joined the team. I was kinda surprised that he wasn’t returned afterwards, because doesn’t that mean that Michiru stole the plushie?

Ah, if any of you wanted to know, there are two more episodes out that actually progress into the Alive-Loans and the ARRC, which will help clean up a few plotholes, especially about that Camellia chick. I don’t know if there will be any more episodes, but I hope so. I would be disappointed if they didn’t, but I am glad that there were episodes 12 and 13 as well.
