The Colonoscoper visits the Z-Loan Office to introduce himself (finally) as Toho of the Xu Fu, the continental mafia. Toho is an Exorcist and a powerful wielder of Transformational Symbol magic. It seems that Shiho was already a zombie prior to meeting Chika at the accident, and in fact has been passed down from generation to generation by the Xu Fu. After meeting Shito in Shanghai in the 19th Century, at some point Bekko helped Shito secure a loan and pose as a student in Holy Kurou Academy. Although Shito didn’t actually die in the accident with Chika, Bekko was responsible for the hand swap. The rest, however, is still a secret. With that said, Chika, Michiru, and new ally Sotetsu Asou (the “Dub King”) go off to find Shito and the ¥300,000 bonus reward that Bekko is offering.
Meanwhile, Shito is handcuffed to a bed and cared for by GolemLoli. Although she is a bit stereotypically zombie, she seems quite fond of Shito and his comb. With nothing better to do, Shito entertains himself with flashbacks of how some ancient Chinese chick died in his arms with the same words that Michiru uttered in episodes 1 and 2. After a while, the doctor introduces himself as a Kabbalah Priest named Rabbi, and reveals that they want to trade Shito to the Xu Fu for information on The Corpse Release Spell. Rabbi hopes to make even better golems, to help humanity overcome death.
This was a pretty interesting episode that expanded on the various forces at work in the Zombie Loan world. The Committee must be pretty tough to be taking on Xu Fu. No doubt the death of that Chinese girl, the comb, and The Corpse Release Spell are all related somehow. I was surprised and amused when Rabbi punched Shito in the belly. What was the point of bandaging him then?
While many questions were raised, at least now I know why Bekko and Shito as so good at ping pong, and why Shito is so emo. Also, super manly Asou seems to have young Koyomi under his spell. Obviously Koyomi prefers dubs over subs. I’m also glad that greed snapped Chika out of his angsty funk. Right now he’s even less useful than Michiru, but perhaps Asou is extremely powerful. He must be raking in the dough to continue extending his zombie loan while traveling the world as a foodie.

I just have to say that pink haired deformed chick (or GolemLoli if you really insist on using that term) is the new moe ^.^
Also, I almost thought I had my translation wrong somehow when you were referring to the doctor as”Rabi”….then I realized that they still haven’t given his name as of this episode. ;P
Yeah, it’s so much less interesting to find out that him and his haggard buddy are just starving researchers.
