This is pretty much the most awesome bio news I have ever heard:

Manga artist Hirohiko Araki (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, BAOH, Steel Ball Run) has drawn the cover of volume 130′s issue 5 (available September 7) of the American biological journal Cell, at the request of two Japanese authors published in this issue.

Alzheimer’s will never know what hit it. The design is pretty freaking sweet, and even has a trademark heart on the head. I can totally see SCRAPPER putting ubiquitins on RIM proteins with a speedy ORA ORA ORA!!!

According to the issue, Araki’s art depicts SCRAPPER as a purple humanoid “putting blue heart-shaped ubiquitins on the red RIM creatures.”

I really wish I was a talented researcher so I could have my favorite mangaka illustrate the covers of journals I’m published in. What would have happened if the scientists requested Oh! great as the illustrator?

Bwahaha, Hirohiko Araki is one of my favourite artists, I dig the cover!

If Oh!Great did a cover, it would surely include lots of tits and ass in the name of science.
